They hit high marks on service, food, presentation and overall atmosphere. So much better than other "trendy" or "celebrity frequented" places.
We enjoyed the pre-dinner cocktails, and while pricey even by New York standards, they provided tasty bar snacks to compensate.
If you can stretch your dining budget to accommodate the tasting menu with wine pairing, then do so. The wines were unique, regional and perfectly paired. The only complaint was the trout dish was a bit over-cooked and dry. Otherwise, everything was perfect. They even presented us with a surprise parting gift to remember the visit. It's child friendly, we saw a few locals dining with their (well behaved) children. It's not a "selfie stick" crowd, which was worth the extra money we spent alone !
