The hotel is located directly next to the train station making travel incredibly easy! It is also located near a metro stop if you are game enough to us it. There is only one decent restaurant in the immediate area but the hotel has a really nice one to eat at if you can spare a little extra cash. There is a great breakfast, though the cereal bowls are ridiculously tiny... am I the only person that likes to have more than one spoon?
There is a computer and a printer if you need it but wifi is free.
Rooms are really nice and very clean! No kettle in the rooms or washing machines, so use the laundry service or just use the sink as we had to. There is a vent system and thermostat so having the windows open isn't necessary.
The bathroom is clean and spacious with an actual shower that is luxurious compared to many other hotels.
Staff are nice but due to the large size of the hotel, they do not have the time or the energy to give you heaps of guidance or get to know you.
The rooms are not sound proof so you can hear everything in the hall way. Additionally, our door was not attached properly so it scraped the floor and was a struggle to open. This also meant that lots of light comes in from the top and sides.
We hate Naples as a city and do not generally feel safe there but this hotel is a good way to visit the city and have your belongings be safely stowed away.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from tour groups as the room is not sound proof and they could be noisy.

I booked through Hotels.com and asked and paid for an upgrade to a superior room with breakfast. On arrival, we had a standard tiny room with about a foot space each side of the bed and maybe four feet at the end of it and no included breakfast.

Having said that, the room and the en-suite were spotless and very well furnished. The beds were made up every day with clean linen and towels for the bathroom. If you like continental breakfast, then there is a lot of choice of cheese, meats, fruits etc. There is a token offering of some greasy bacon and some sort of smoked hot dog type sausage with scrambled egg but its very poor. We tried breakfast once but decided it wasn't worth the 28euros for the two of us.

The location is excellent in terms of getting around with the metro, main rail station, and the vesuvius line on the door step. But there is virtually nothing worth visiting in the area for food or bars and can be a bit intimidating after dark.

We took the vesuvius link to Sorrento for 7.20euros return (about an hour and a quarter) which was well worth it. We also took a boat to Capri from Sorrento for 76 euros return for two of us.

As for Naples itself....filthiest place we have ever visited with litter strewn across the city with dog mess included with air quality a big problem. Traffic non-stop with no respect for traffic lights or pedestrians. Bereft of decent bars and restaurants.

Use Naples for its airport and go to Sorrento instead would be my advice.

Room Tip: Upgrade to superior room - standard rooms are tiny

I really liked this hotel! It was very nice and very close to the train station. The breakfast was good (typical "continental" breakfast, but nice. The only bad thing was that my room faced the interior of the hotel and the air conditioning wasn't turned on (until later months), so my room was really hot, with no breeze.

This hotel is ideally located for the main station and your day trips either further out to sorrento and Pompeii . There's a number of good restaurants nearby to sample the local food and drinks the bus stop for the airport is in front of hotel una , walk straight in a 12 o'clock direction for plaza garibaldi station and the hotel is on the right . Hotel was tastefully decorated inside both the lobby and rooms . Couldn't fault the surroundings, breakfast was varied and very nice with a good mix of continental and hot dishes couldn't knock it . Staff in general were very nice and keen to help without the exception of one , front of house you know who you are but why spoil a good thing ! The surroundings are busy and older guests may be slightly wary of certain individuals that you'll find near any major transport hub the world over . On a positive note there are enough police and military guards around to keep a reassuring eye on all . This is a gem go for it .

Great location arriving by train. Underground it's downstairs. Ten minutes on foot from piazza plebiscito, round the corner of Giudecca Vecchia. Very beautiful view from the room window. Best breakfast in town. Very good ratio price quality.
