In April, my wife and I arranged an Adventure Bellissime Tour of the Vatican and ancient Rome. Our tour guide Luca met us and guided us past the waiting 1000's of people and proceeded to lead us on a fantastic tour of the Vatican. Religion, mythology, history of the church, history of Rome, art history.....this guy had it all! If you were a student and hadn't yet taken any of these classes, you would go back to school and ace them all.
Above all, Luca was a great story teller. Every exhibit or piece of artwork was more interesting because Luca had provided the story and the significance of the piece before we had seen it. We had a small group and were able to follow the tour without headphones. The small group made for dozens of additional questions/answers and Luca was able to tailor the presentation to fit the interests of our group.

Luca was also our guide for the Coliseum and Ancient Rome. We had a larger group and used the headphones to follow the tour. Even with the large crowds, Luca was able to tailor the presentation to be of interest to tourists of all ages. His story telling skills really kicked in at the Coliseum. He was able to paint a picture of ancient Roman life, teach history and entertain us all.
We highly recommend a tour with Adventure Bellissime Tours. We would never know how much we missed if we didn't use them.

We used Avventure Bellissime for two private tours. We had originally wanted to book small group tour but we made mistakes in booking our train from Florence (use train station Termini not Turbitini) so due to this we had to book private tour instread of small group. It did cost more $ but we all felt it was worth it. Our tour iguide in Rome was with Francesca and she was amazing! She was cheerful, patient, informative and just a joy to be with. She taught us so much and even kept the attention of my teenage daughter. I would highly recommend her! We also booked private 1/2 day tour and had Luca. This tour was great too but more driving than walking so a lot of the info came while driving. The landscape was beautiful and spoke for itself but personally I would have enjoyed more time in the villages. Next time I'd book a longer tour to spend more time in this region. I would highly recommend this company for your next tour!

My wife and I are photography instructors and we took a group of 20 students to Italy in March of 2013. I am usually not to big on "tours", however, because we had such a large group, we thought it would be great in each city to have a tour to get everyone familer with each city and teh culture as well as historical sites. . In Rome, Franchesa and Luca were the guides we had for our groups. They were REALLY REALLY excellent!!. First they were patient with us because we mixed up the Vatican tour date with the Coliseum tour date. by reversing the days. The waited until we got there and still had smiles on their faces. They were incredibly knowledgable of the sites and really made the tour interesting for all that attended. To top it off, after our tour of the Vatican, they took us to a place for lunch where the "locals" go. AMAZING food! Luca even hung out with us and helped us try various wines he recommended. Without a doubt, from now on we will use this company as our guide in Florence was excellent as well! THANK YOU Francesca and Luca for giving us such a great tour!

One of the highlights of our Italian vacation! Our group of 8 was met at our hotel by Max and a Mercedes van. Max was very friendly, knowledgable and accommodating throughout this fantastic day! He is a great driver as well! This was welcomed as this tour takes you on some of the most scenic and crazy roads I've ever experienced. We were in great hands with Max who is very enthusiastic about the region.

The Pompeii tour was led by a very knowledgable guide who took the time to answer questions and gave a great feel for life in Pompeii before the eruption.

Everyone should see the towns along the coast at least once in life. Positano, Almafi, etc are just incredible and this tour was an excellent way to get away from Rome for a day and experience them. Lunch in Positano at Chez Black was a particular highlight of our trip! Do not hesitate to book this tour as you will not regret it!

The review below was written before I took similar walking tours in Venice and Florence. After those two gruelingly monotonous endeavors, Luca's tour stands out even more exceptionally.

It’s not just that we’ve never come across a tour service/guide this good before, but we never knew guides this good existed! Our guide, Luca, is what one of my old professors would call a real “renaissance man.” His knowledge of the Coliseum, Forum and Vatican is unbelievable… along with Roman history and general knowledge of other cultures as well. Let me lay it on the line: The day we toured with Luca was like touring Rome in a tropical storm – windy, rainy and about as bad as it gets. His expertise and knowledge saved the day and made for an absolutely wonderful experience. Seriously… what kind of amazing mind and talent does it take to pull that off? BTW, he’s got an awesome sense of humor and is great with kids too! I can’t recommend him and his organization enough.
