“Really helpful Julia!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 November 2011

This was a cute little B and B with 3 rooms. The rooms are modern and clean. Julia was really helpful - phoning ahead to restaurants and booking us taxis. The location was quite a walk (30 mins) from the main tourist attractions but near to the student area and an area near the train station which was nice to go out - also very convenient for the train station and bus station. It is also near both lines of the tram which was handy. Nice breakfast of pastries, juice and coffee.

We stayed in Rome for the last week of our 2 week vacation in Italy. The last leg of a trip can be draining so a lot was riding on my choice of place to stay in Rome.

BB Queen was everything we could have hoped for.

Clean. Safe. Comfortable. Reliable.

Juilia was an excellent hostess from start to finish - emailing me 2 weeks before our arrival to verify arrival times and give us walking directions from the train station. Because it is a B&B with no front desk we were given keys to the front doors and it felt more like we were staying in a friends place while they were away. When asked she also recommended some excellent places to eat, made reservations for a visit to the Borghese Gallery and pointed out some other beautiful sights worth seeking out.

The showers stayed reliably hot - regardless of when I felt the need to shower.

As there is no front desk, you will need a good alarm clock if you have to check out before breakfast at 8. We had to be at the airport early and it made for a fitful last night, not trusting our alarm clock to work.

The location was excellent for exploring the city on foot. We walked to the Vatican on the first day and it took about an hour and a half (but I'm a browser).

The only thing I wasn't sure about was having the room cleaned while breakfast was happening. I am not really comfortable with knowing that someone is tidying up after me ... I know that it happens, but in most hotels I don't know when it happens, and I don't have to watch it happen. So it felt a little awkward to sit there and eat breakfast while I knew someone was cleaning up my mess. This was just a minor quibble - hardly even noteworthy.

I would recommend this B&B to anyone.

Julia might be nice but not very organized, and lacks a bit of judgement. We booked in May for a stay in Sept. We confirmed our reservation with Julia via e-mail in august, and 4 days before leaving on sept 8 we receive an e-mail saying ``checking my plannig I realized that a mistake is made``. With so few rooms she managed to overbook? Then she tries to find us another room, one was very poorly ranked on Trip advisor, and the other was above a x-rated adult cinema, and facing a "no-limts" disco dance bar...ie strip club ? This is how she tries makes things right..beware !

This B & B is clean and ideally situated but the best part is the hostess herself. Julia is wonderful and you do feel as though you are spending a few nights in the home of a friend. She will cheerfully help with any problems that arise and allow you to use the laptop whenever necessary. Julia's knowledge of the area was a great help during our visit to Rome. Highly recommended but do your research and make sure you take the correct exit from the Termini as it is quite difficult to find.

We loved our short stay at BBQueen. It is in a convenient location close to central station. The rooms are very clean and modern - exactly what the pictures show.
The breakfast was very nice with a good variety. Julia was a fantasitc host contacting us a couple of times before we arrived to make sure we knew where we were going. She was also kind enough to give us helpful city advice and let us leave our bags at the B&B for the day until we caught our train to our next destination. We will definately stay again when we return to Rome.

We text the host Julia on arrival so she was there to meet us. Very friendly lady. Left breakfast etc out for us as she knew we were leaving for early morning tours. I had an electrical problem with the hairdryer, we let her know and by the afternoon a new one was in the room. Great advice given on how to get around Rome etc.

The B&B was modern, clean and had everything you need for a short stay. It was hidden away so it could be hard to find for some people but Julia gives good directions. SO close to the main station and 5 min walks to the metro stations. I would describe it as being in a local area rather than touristy.

We have just spent four nights at BB Queen and would highly recommend staying here for anyone visiting Rome. The rooms are modern, well presented and tidied each day. Julia is a fantastic hostess, always happy to help and very knowledgable about Rome. Location is ideal with three Metro stations a 10 minute walk away including Termini.

If you arrive by train turn left out of the station onto via Marsala and walk straight up the road towards a building with a statue on top. Via Montebello is the last road on the right before you reach the end of that road. BB Queen is on the left hand side just before Hotel Floridia.
