“Great apartament in Rome”
Reviewed 28 March 2012

This was a great place to stay for me and my family while in Rome. It was fairly convenient to public transit, and was equiped with everyhting a traveler would need (including pretty-quick wi-fi access). I would definately recommend this place to anybody traveling to Rome, and the price was great. Laura was absolutely brilliant and really welcoming and would defo stay there again!

In our first time in Rome we've stayed in this lovely place, that we'll never forget. The room is so clean, cozy and amazing decorated!
Laura was a great host. She gave us some invaluable roman tips, like buying online tickets for the Musei Vaticani to avoid lines, where to eat, how to get to places.
We felt like home!
It is in a walking distance to the Coliseum and close to bus stops and metro stations.
It´s so recommended!
Thankyou Laura and Giorgio!

Very warm welcome and lots of advice on the places to eat in the area and beyond. Great spot- about 5 minutes walk to Trevi Fountain (means you can go early morning when it's almost deserted...). There is a bit of noise but, hey, you're in the middle of Rome! It was very very easy to get around via Metro etc and most things are within walking distance of the 'hotel' or of a Metro. The room is smallish but I was solo so no big drama. Handy to have a fridge- there are several Despar markets etc around so you can buy a few things, especially since breakfast isn't a big thing in Italy. No English TV channels but you don't come to Rome to watch TV. Free internet was fast and fantastic to have. The room was spotless and cleaned daily with fresh towels provided. Great shower. There is a phone in the room to contact the staff if necessary, otherwise there's someone there in the morning for a while and then only when people check in. Again, this wasn't a problem. I would certainly recommend Maison Trevi for solo travellers, but this room (no. 4) might be a bit snug for 2 if it was more than one night.

I have been to Rome several times and I have stayed in places I liked, but no as much as I liked this one.
Masion Trevi is an actual apartment turned into a cozy and very modern inn. Set at the second floor of an old building very close to Piazza Barberini, it is perfect for your stay in Rome: 7 minutes walk to Fontana di Trevi and about 10 to Piazza di Spagna.
As the staff is there only in the morning, you will be given three keys: one for entering the building, one for entering the apartment and one for your room.
The room itself is reasonably spacious, quiet and has very confy beds. The bathroom is very small but lovely.
There is no room for having breakfast as they don't provide this service.
They have free wifi that works perfectly.
All in all, I would definitely stay there again on my next trip to Rome.

Room Tip: All rooms are good.

.....and they're not!

Don't expect big hotel facilities. This is more like renting an apartment which fills all your domestic requirements to a good standard, on a charming old street in central Rome. Big clean modern rooms, lovely beds, good bathrooms (towels changed daily). No catering or kettle, just a bottle of wine and wine glasses in your room, on arrival, and a lovely young lady, Laura, to meet, greet and assist you. She is usually at the Trevi for the mornings. Laura will mark you up a map and give you some local restaurant recommendations. Use them. They're good, especially Gioia Mia (see end of review).

You've all you need to enjoy a great stay in this magnificent city. Now get walking! Trevi Fountains, five minutes; Spanish Steps, ten minutes; Pantheon, fifteen minutes; Colosseum and Fora, twenty five minutes; Vatican, thirty minutes and - for the ladies - shops, shops, shops on Via del Corso, Via del Condotti, ten minutes!

Laura's restaurant recommendations, all very good, all close by, in my order of preference:-

1. Gioia Mia, Via d. Avignonesi.

2. Sora Lucia, Via d. Panettaria.

3. Ciro, Via della Mercede.

We booked Trevi Maison after reading the reviews on Trip Advisor, it is everything the reviews said! In a small road just 5 minutes walk from the Trevi Maison, very comfortable accomodation small reception area where a receptionist was onhand almost all day - she was very helpful and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. The room was large and light, warm and welcoming, very comfy bed with crisp White sheets, good ensuite bathroom with the best shower ever. A nice touch was the bottle of chianti and bowl of sweets. Wifi was readily available as was the safe in each room. I would definitely recommend this accommodation but next time I would take a travel kettle to make a hot drink in our room. Otherwise cannot fault the Trevi Maison. Can recommend!

The rooms were actually really nice and big! The style and design of this B&B was very modern, loved the lighting on the bed and in the room. The room was very clean and really comfortable. We stayed here with my brothers and parents who had their own rooms. We highly recommend this place, as we had a wonderful time there. The location is great too, close to everything! We also stayed at Alex Inn, which is owned by the same owner I believe, and the places are very nice.Thank you so much, we will definitely stay here if we find ourselves in Roma again!
