“Takes your breath away”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 April 2012

We were on our way to our cooking class and just happened by this place. You turn the corner onto another street and there it is, although you can hear the water from blocks away if you are paying attention. It is absolutely breathtaking! Be sure to watch your pockets and purses for pickpockets, and be sure to throw three coins in; two for wishes and one to be sure you return to the eternal city!

“Crowded & chaotic but incredible.”

Grab a gelato from San Crispino's, right around the corner from the fountain and sit and enjoy the view. Go either early in the morning, or at dusk for fewer crowds.

“Go early or late”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 April 2012

Too crowded during the day but if you go early before 9 am or late in the evening it is much better. You must throw a coin in if you want to return to Rome

“BEAUTIFUL, ROMANTIC FOUNTAIN.. See it at night!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 April 2012

The first time I went to Rome many decades ago we missed the Trevi Fountain and I was always disappointed in that. With all that anticipation for all these years one might think it would be a letdown in the end, but not so! The Trevi Fountain does not dissappoint!! This time we were able to see it, and it is spectacular. We saw it in the evening, which I greatly suggest. It is all lit up. I thought it was very romantic and would be a great place to propose to someone.

“Great for pictures”

A bit crowed but you have to see it at dusk is even more romantic. The stores around this area had really good sales and prices!
