Our four days in Domus Agnese were one of the high points of our three weeks in Italy. And it began with a wealth of an informative and appropriately cautionary session with out amazing landlady, Manuela. She explained how to use the transportation system (we chose not to drive in Rome because we are sane people); familiarized us with the restaurants and merchants in the Trieste neighborhood where the apartment is located: explained that we should be on alert for pickpockets, an ongoing minor national threat affecting tourists more than locals; and told us where to get the best tiramisu we ate in Italy. The apartment is spacious, with a bedroom, large closet, galley kitchen, large living room with couch and a huge bathroom with a spacious shower. The only drawback is that the wifi worked best in the large entry hallway. But there is a table and outlet there for a computer. The subway, which takes you to almost anyplace you want to see in Rome, is only a block from the apartment. You also can take a cab if you desire. Parking might be a little tight if you are driving but what in the world would make one drive in Roma? The neighborhood is fantastic; we ate three of our four dinners here, one of which was at Dolce, where we found the perfect build-your-own tiramisu. There also was Giglioni Pizza, a little hole-in-the-wall parlor around the corner that had perhaps the best assortment of the best-tasting pizza we had while in Italy. Manuela also will arrange an airport pickup by a friend, Augusto, for 50 euros. We balked at the price at first but finally decided it would be easiest because a cab was going to cost nearly that much and we had not yet figured out the train and bus system. Turns out it was a great decision because Augusto gave us a quick tour past most of the city's more notable sites, a trip that was a great orientation to our upcoming explorations. Finally, the apartment's proximity to the subway was a plus because when we left all we had to do was get on the train down the street, take it to the main train terminal, and hop a train for Riomaggiore, the next leg of our journey. We won't forget Domus Agnese or its amazing landlady, Manuela.

Room Tip: It's off the tourist's beaten path but right in the middle of the real Rome

Great accommodation. Wonderful reception by the owner Manuela who shared her tremendous local knowledge and advice. Locality ideal, being quiet but close to the metro and the hustle and bustle of a fascinating city. Apartment was easily accessible, clean with all the home comforts even provided daily essentials ie: milk, juice, tea, coffee, cakes etc. Would definitely recommend and would not hesitate in coming back to stay. A+

I would like to start with a big “Thank you” to Manuela for helping my wife and I with nearly everything, from travel arrangements within Rome, to having us picked up after our cruise, and for offering her time to help us become acclimated to Rome. Not only does she offer a place to stay, with a reasonable rate, and all of the conveniences you would ever need, but she also offers her help, wherever and whenever she can. Think beyond concierge, because she offers her help with a sincerity which is rarely seen.

That’s the perk you will receive as a customer for her larger apartment, that has free WiFi (ask to move the router closer, it helps), a perfectly sized kitchenette, a family / dining room space, a spacious bedroom for two, a walk-in closet, and free snacks that are refreshed each and every day. For the traveller who wants to experience Rome as a native, you can walk a few steps from the apartment to access the Metro and travel to anywhere in Rome. There’s also a supermarket nearby, a number of restaurants, and treats, all within walking distance - you could honestly live there for at least a month (or two) and the experience would be well worth it!

Room Tip: Select the Gold room - and stay for more than a week! It's worth it!

Wonderful, clean, well equipped apartment. Located approx. 2 blocks from the metro, easy to access all the sites, local grocery 3 blocks. Nicely maintain and a great price.
The Dolce restaurant recommended was the best dining experience of our 2 weeks in Europe. The car/driver arranged for airport return was smooth ending to our trip. This rental is at the top of my list compared to many over the years.

Room Tip: Gold room was perfect spacious get away from a busy day of touring

Charming, welcoming and perfectly equipped apartment. It's our second time and we would definitely come back!!! Manuela is the best host you can dream of. Thank you again for having us over. The subway station is a couple of steps from the apartment. You can quickly reach all of the "hot" spots in Rome. Ci vediamo :)
