Not sure if this is the standard set up for hotels in Italy, but we were surprised to find the hotel was just one corridor in a block of private apartments and offices. Although the hotel looks trendy and sophisticated on the internet, the minimalistic set up of the room was sparse to say the least. The trendy wardrobe was just six coat hangers hanging from the ceiling. Not very practical. The noise from the apartment above was unacceptable and resulted in four sleepless nights, regardless of how many times the staff were requested to ask for quiet. The breakfast was simple and not kept fully stocked on most days.
On a positive side, the hotel is situated in a quiet location within the Vatican City and was within a good walk from the rest of the city. The staff were very friendly and tried to accommodate all our simple requests, such as hot water as there is no tea making facilities in the room. They might boast Sky TV etc which is fine, so long as your speak Italian as they could not change the TV to English.
Not a bad place but it didn't do enough to encourage us to return there for another stay. Pity.More
