We had a lovely stay at this hotel, it has a classy old European style. The room was large with beautiful renaissance style - paintings, bedding, wall paper, drapes, furniture and fixtures.
The champagne bar area is very nice and I would highly recommend seeing the sabering of a bottle which kicks off every evening.
The gym facilities were used multiple times and were sufficient. The gym is accessed via a cool, old open/exposed elevator.
The hotel was undergoing renovation which we knew going into our stay. Not a criticism but we did see and hear the work being done, it is not enough to deter you if thinking about staying here.
