“Excellent hotel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 April 2012

The Canada is a very pleasant hotel situated conveniently close to Termini Station and surrounded by decent places to eat. The Castro Pretorio Metro station is just around the corner. I have enjoyed my stays there and will probably staty again. Highly recommended. The staff are friendly and very helpful.

We booked this hotel based on the reviews and we were not disapointed the staff were fantastic the superior room we stayed in was stunning almost as large as a suite (Room 212).
The prices of the drinks at the hotel bar were extremely reasonable 2 euros for a bottled beer 2.5 euros for a Baileys, the barman Edwin couldnt do enough for us supplying a large variety of bar snacks (free of charge).
If you're planning to stay in Rome consider this hotel as it punches well above its 3 star rating.

Just back from three nights at this first-class hotel. The location is far from the madding crowd but is only a ten minute walk from Termini Station, and a number of good restaurants and cafes are within easy walking distance. There is also a metro stop just around the corner, which takes you direct to the Colisseum/Forum/Palatine area in just three stops. The hotel itself is spotlessly clean and the rooms are very comfortable. We had numerous requests during our stay, including the need for needle and cotton, print out of boarding passes etc., but nothing was too much trouble. If you want tea and coffee making facilities then just ask when you arrive. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of variety to suit all tastes. Mille Grazie to Gianfranco, Giovanni and the wonderful breakfast and housekeeping staff - we can't wait to return!

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the quiet courtyard - most have a small balcony to sit out on.

We stayed for one week in this hotel in late March 2012. Going to a city that you do not know means that choice of accomodation is always something of a lottery. This Hotel is an excellent choice, at all levels, for anyone who wants a short, or long stay in Rome. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast will suit all tastes with a superb choice of food. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again if we return to Rome.

Stayed here the week leading up to Easter. Very nice staff who paid attention to our needs. Clean and bright rooms. Could leave the "windows" open at night. Metro is right around the corner as are a couple of nice restaruants we ate at. As a place to hang our hat after touring the city all day worked for us! Breadfast was excellent! Would go back again.

We stayed here for 4 nights in March 2012, after having to check out of our initial accomodation due to the poor state we found the hotel in.....

we had a very courteous and pleasant check-in

We had a wonderful Room on the 5th floor, spacious bathroom with huge deep bath ! a large omfortable bed, big TV and stereo system..... our room was decorated to a very high standard and serviced daily...

the breakfast menu was excellent, the staff very friendly, and the hotel had a very well stocked bar, at excellent prices, with superb staff. Nibbles were laid on every evening for guests.

Plenty of decent local venues to wine and dine in, and close to 2 x metro stops make it acessible to the whole city

We both really enjoyed our staye here and have already recommended it to other friends visiting rome in the future

definitely worth paying that little bot more for !!!

Our family had 3 nights here and we loved the great location. Nearest Metro is just around the block and 1 stop from Termini which links the 2 lines. We were welcomed by friendly staff who told us about the complimentary snacks in the bar from 4pm until 11pm which were a hit with our tired and hungry kids after a long drive. Bar prices were excellent and the atmosphere was nice and relaxing. The room was large with a big 4 poster bed plus 2 full size single beds for the kids. Free wifi also handy. Only downside was no minibar fridge in the room, making it inconvenient if you felt like a cold drink during the night. Buffet breakfast was good with friendly waiters looking after our every need. One in particular remembered our kids preferences for drinks which was a nice touch. Overall a great experience and definitely recommend for families.
