I liked the hotel itself; it was clean, comfortable, close enough to the train and metro, near good restaurants. But I have to tell you it is VERY difficult to find because it completely lacks signage, and there is a cultural difference--it is a first floor apartment, but the Romans call the first floor the zero floor so it is a second story location, and when we were standing 10 feet from it, the helpful neighbors sent us to the wrong hotel several blocks away.
to locate Cleopatra try this: It is a yellow apartment block visible from the Ostiense train station next to a park. As you go up the street there is a fruit vendor and then the building and then the park. Somehow get into the interior courtyard of that building. they are remodeling so there is some construction. go all the way around to the back of the courtyard. there is an unmarked hotel there that is not the Cleopatra but they have the keys to it and will let you in. The breakfast is in a bake shop on the same side of the street about 10 doors down.

Room tip: There is a room with a balcony that is nice.

We was welcomed by an English speaking gentleman. He gave us basic information about the area but this was enough to help us get from A to B. The room was clean and spacious although the sliding bathroom door really could have done with some WD40...Verrrry noisy and you could hear the bathroom doors from the other rooms. The kitchen was a bonus. It was clean and had everything you needed to cook meals. We had an enjoyable stay and overall we would recommend Cleopatra.

The only down point. BREAKFAST. You have to go across the road for breakfast. The guys in the Cafe are extremely rude and are not that bothered whether they serve you. Dreadful attitude. Maybe an area to be improved.

The train is near, because the stop Ostiense is behind, but i could say that the noise wasn't so high...it depends on your feeling.
We had two interconnecting rooms, was nice.
The place is clean, there is kitchen usable for everyone.
The breakfast isn't the best...
Closed to bus station.

Visited the B&B Cleopatra in June 2015 as a trio.
Enjoyed our ten day stay at the B&B Cleopatra, Garbatella, very much.
Rooms were en suite and were very clean, although not that spacious. We were provided with a safe, a TV and the beds were comfortable. Bathroom was also very clean, equipped with a good, nice shower. We were given clean fresh towels on a regular basis and beds were remade regularly.
A city tax of 35 Euro each person for 10 nights was reasonable.
We were also provided with a shared kitchen, it was very clean and it included a fridge/freezer and other appliances except kettle. There was a coffee and vending machine just outside our room too, ideal for grabbing a snack or a hot drink.
Staff were excellent, polite and nothing was too much trouble for any of them, especially Uri (his name was I think), fine chap. He provided us free breakfast vouchers for the nearby Space Café, a bistro situated slightly opposite the road from the B&B offering toast, refreshing drinks and more. WIFI was free.
The location wasn't bad either. Situated very close to Rome Eataly (5 minute walk), a very large mall selling food products and souvenir gifts. Cleopatra is only a 20 minute walk away from The Colosseum and 30 minutes from Rome city centre, absolutely ideal for those who want to walk around to explore and have a real feel of Rome's bustling streets, culture and its many landmarks.
Garbatella is dotted with markets, local cafes, fruit stalls and bars. There was a Carrefour hypermarket DIRECTLY opposite the Cleopatra, again superb.
The ONLY negative points I can think of the place were:
Loud trains
WIFI was rather mediocre.
Thank you B&B Cleopatra for a great stay, would recommend for anyone wishing to travel and explore the great Eternal City. Definetly would get the thumbs up from me again.
