It's a short walk to Piazza Popolo and Piazza Spagne, just right behind the Palace of Justice. The Vatican is just over a kilomters's walk. In the neighborhood are nice restaurants and bistros and for those of you who perennially forget to bring chargers, there are a couple of computer and telecom shops.

The hotel itself has a minimalist lobby but quite a large breakfast room in the basement. The rooms aren't large but comfortable. Just watch out for rooms with LAN cables that aren't close to the working tables. You can, of course, use the wi-fi which is reasonable at €9.00 per day. The patio, while small, has nice touches of green and on a sunny spring day will be a perfect place to wind down.

One can sense that the staff are trying their utmost best to be polite and helpful. They are not yet there, but one can appreciate their efforts. I will certainly come back to this hotel and might make it as my home base should I come back to Rome. I recommend this hotel to those who value a quiet neighborhood and yet would want to be close enough to good restaurants and the Roman sites like Popolo Spagna and Navona.

The hotel is really well positioned - 30 minute walk down to the collaseum and 20 minute walk to the Vatican. Really easy to get to both from the hotel and the hotel provide a good map. I went on my own not knowing any Italian and felt safe, good around well and thoroughly enjoyed it.
The hotel I would describe as a holiday inn express lookalike - perfectly fine and prices are probably as you expect for room (expensive) but was ok, nothing more, nothing less.
Everyone behind the desk spoke English and were helpful if not overly enthusiastic.
Note the gym is very small but also perfectly fine.
All in all - I found the hotel perfectly central for what I was looking for in my short trip but wasn't wowed by the hotel but again had no complaints. It was fine, perfectly adequate for my travel.

My wife and I stayed 3 nights at the Visconti Palace Hotel in Rome in July 2011. It was a great choice for us being that it was close to the Vatican and walking distance from the Metro train station near Piazza del Popolo. The open breakfast in the mornings was the best that we had in Europe during our entire trip. Rooms were clean, quiet and comfortable. Great staff… I would stay here again for sure.

Modern, great location, handy for the sites but nice and peaceful with cheaper local shops, bars etc. Can't think of a fault, room nice, staff good, breakfast fine. Would stay again.

Stayed here for 2 nights as part of group attending a rugby international. From the outside, the hotel is quite understated. However the public areas are bright and welcoming and the bedrooms, whilst not grand, are certainly more than adequate.
The staff were very helpful throughout our stay. The buffet breakfast was excellent.
There are several good small restaurants nearby and the hotel is a good starting point for walks to many of Rome's historic attractions.

The Visconti Palace is located near the Parthenon and other of the major sights of Rome. It is a modern 4star and I had no criticism of the facilities or service. The rooms are value for money in size, thy are well appointed and everything worked including excellent Wifi. The hotel tries hard to create a Roman feeling with portraits and a widescreen of typical Roman scenes. The reception staff are polite, friendly and efficient. My room was cleaned both mornings of my stay during my breakfast. Excellent value for money in a city which is not inexpensive.
