Disappointing experience at Best Western Astrid. As a Diamond Select member, the unprofessional behavior of staff member name Liezel made me feel unwelcome during breakfast, treating me unequally. Despite prior warnings from other staff, Liezel's behavior did not improve. Regrettably, I won't be using the breakfast service for the rest of my stay. Hoping for swift resolution to maintain the hotel's high standards.
Have only just returned from our break. What a beautiful hotel! Was really easy to find. As soon as we approached the hotel, my immediate thought was - this looks fantastic! Beautifully decorated for Christmas. Very grand staircase leading to the rooms.
Very friendly and smiley reception staff. We upgraded the room to Superior Queen. I’m glad we did, very nice size - comfortable room.
Free drinks (juice, water, coke) in the mini fridge were much appreciated. Also the fridge was topped up daily. Beautiful, clean bathroom. Fantastic size mirror, handy for when you’re getting ready.
Thoroughly enjoyed breakfast 🧇 other half loved the mini muffins. Again, very friendly staff at breakfast. Yoghurts were delish, and the cold cuts - yum!
Would definitely stay here again.

Our first visit to Rome and this hotel was a little further from centre than we had hoped. Our room was lovely and clean but storage facilities was scarce. Free mini bar in fridge which contained water, juice and coke was most welcomed. We had issues with air con which we reported at the reception desk but no one came to fix problem - this resulted in us sleeping with window open at night and the traffic noise became an issue. Although en-suite bathroom was great in size and equipped with modern facilities, hairdryer, shampoos, body wash etc - the shower itself was tiny!! Breakfast was lovely - plenty of food which included boiled eggs, cheese, meat, pasties, cereals… well worth paying the extra. We were disappointed that there wasn’t a bar area in this hotel to unwind at night. There are a few coffee shops and restaurants nearby. All in all we had a lovely stay here albeit a few niggles.
Extreamly dirty hotel. Bugs found in shoes after night. Never seen so much dust in my life. Mould in bathroom, could not see a world outise of closed windows. Breakfast not much choice and gery old sourdough bread. Nothing warm to eat. On plus side one reception staff nice, lovely cleaning ladies and bfast staff! Also never was told when book in or arrivedvar the hotel that will be charged for tax at the end which was €6 per person per night. Generally would not recommend.
The hotel was very nice! The staff assisted us whenever we needed them. Waking up to the smell of croissants being warmed up was the BEST! I really enjoyed the breakfast and looked forward to it every morning! The hotel is in a nice location with access to get around to every destination we wanted to go. I enjoyed walking around the neighborhood and looking at the restaurants and visiting the bar in the park. The only thing that did not like was the shower! It was so small, I could barely move in it.
