May

We came here at the beginning of May. The male staff member at reception is rather rude. When we first arrived he just looked at us blanked and said “passports”. Sent us to our rooms. Me and my boyfriend were on the first floor. The room was a good size. We had a door which we assumed was going into another room (this was locked). We had a couple issues when talking that people in the other room would start banging at the door.

After our first night we were working up just before 8am to drilling that sounded like it was in our room. This wasn’t very pleasant and we weren’t made aware this would be happening.

The shower would flood when used, so we had to try and use towels to stop it causing any more damage. The doors wouldn’t shut as the seals were broken, the shower handle was coming off the wall so it took many attempts to use it.

On our final day we checked out at 11am and left our bags as our flight went until 7pm. When we came back we asked if there was a bathroom facility. We were told “you should have paid for the room if you wanted to use our facilities”.

Overall not an amazing experience but the location is good, around 30 minutes walk to the Spanish steps. The restaurants around the corner were lovely we didn’t use the restaurant in the hotel so we are unable to comment.

I tried to complain directly but unfortunately I have been ignored. I do not recommend coming to this hotel but maybe we just caught them before the summer months.

Nice hotel near the river just outside the centre of Rome. We walked into the centre in around 30 minutes. Nice restaurants close by, Room very small but well equipped. Good breakfast in lovely room on 5th floor overlooking the city . Only problem was that air conditioning didn’t work and room was very hot.

The hotel is in a perfect central location, near the river & walking distance from Piazza del Popolo, Stadio Olimpico
Personnel are helpful / cheerful
Rooms are well appointed, modern, clean, albeit traffic can be noisy daytime & late night
Breakfast is served on a pleasant rooftop terrace
Room rate was v competitive for Rome

Room tip: Book well in advance for best room rate Order taxis through reception: impossible to hail on the street 😡

The double rooms are very comfortable. The marble staircase is quite grand. The reception staff are very helpful. The only negative is that the hotel is quite far out. Had to catch a bus and metro to get to the main attractions. Not many restaurants in the area
