“As good as it gets.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 March 2012

Chose this hotel because of all good comments on Trip advisor. From the moment of our arrival we were not disappointed.Car to and from the airport provided by the hotel was on time and good quality/value. We were greeted like old friends and reception staff were friendly/helpful and courteous as were all the staff we met during our visit.
The room was full of character and the bathroom modern and pristine.(we would have liked a bath but you cant have everything with the space available in the historic centre) The whole hotel had character from the Roman underground cavern breakfast room to the quirky side rooms off the reception area,
Position of the hotel could not have been better with everything and more on the doorstep.
We stayed for 4 nights and ate at a different hotel recommended restaurant each night all within 5 mins walk of the hotel. Each meal was excellent in different ways and an average 50 euros covered the bill for the two of us.
We met Franco the hotel owner and quickly understood, through his pride and passion, why this hotel is a "winner" in all aspects.
We will be back.

Room Tip: Front rooms are the best.

Dear Guest,
even before our guests arrive we think of how our guests are able to have a non problem vacation so we suggest immediately to reserve our private luxury car service at the fixed rate which is the equal of the normal taxi this way there is no arguing over the rate with the taxi driver and when you sit in the car you don’t have to look before you move because the private luxury car is always clean.

We feel that all of our guests are old friends since we have been selected for their stay in Rome which could even be a one in a life time trip to Rome so we are always ready to explain, to suggest and to reserve what we feel is the best quality – rate for them.

To all of our guests we suggest to read up on Rome before arriving this way one is able to understand quickly and deeper all the history that one will see during their stay with us. One must always keep in mind that already when you walk out of the hotel door or one of our apartments located nearby the hotel and always in the same Campo de’ Fiori area you already need to understand what you see having buildings designed by, Michelangelo, Bernini, Borromini, Bramante and the list continues not speaking about the Ancient Roman monuments and Plaza’s.

Thank you for the kind words,

Best Regards,
F. Severino

I have always wanted to stay in this Hotel, as we have spent a lot of time in and around Campo De' Fiori on all our trips to Rome and it didn't disappoint. It made our time in Rome special.
We had a double deluxe room and while the room was smaller than some we stayed in on our trip it didn't feel cramped. The finish in the room and bathroom were of a very high standard. It felt luxurious.
The customer service is the best we've encountered and the staff really cannot do enough to help.
As for the roof top terrace - very romantic and special. Before going out to dinner on each evening we had a glass of wine and admired the view across Rome. As it was February we had the whole terrace to ourselves to enjoy the view of Rome at night.
We will be back and hopefully soon.

Room Tip: We were in a double deluxe and it was lovely, but watch the price when booking over a weekend. We w...

Dear Guest,

“it made our time in Rome special” is probably one of the best acknowledgement for anyone working in the hospitality industy!

This statement, received by a frequent traveler as you are, may be enough for us to get more and more confidence in our professional identity. Your review remarks that we achieved once more our main goal: make our guests’ stay in Rome a pleasant memory to be remembered forever.

The staff, the coziness of the rooms, and the magnificent views of the Eternal City that you can enjoy from our rooftop terrace – even in February, being the weather very mild most of the time here in Rome – are part of this magic blend that makes everyone nostalgic and willing to come back.

I just want to clarify your last statement regarding room rates, as the information is actually incorrect and may influence future travelers: rates are subject to fluctuation according to the availability. This absolutely does not mean that we apply higher rates on weekends, but only that probably on that particular Saturday the rate was higher than the other days because of a particular availability. In any case we always suggest our guests to contact the hotel directly to check the real availability, artes and special delas.

Thanking you once again,

All the best

F. Severino

My wife and I stayed there from 2/18-2/21 and had a wonderful time. We took the available car service and arrived weary from our overnight flight @ 10:00 am and our room was already available. The hotel is located on a wonderful square filled with shops and restaurants, close to a taxi stand and bus stop. It's located in the middle of all the sights, close enough to walk everywhere. We really enjoyed our time here and would stay here again if we ever make it back to Rome.

“When life stops into the daily routine, put it back in motion with a trip”

Thank you to our New York guests for sharing their positive experience on Tripadvisor!
Coming from the United States, often a trip to Rome and to Italy is a lifetime trip, as it is from the beginning of the XVII century, with the birth of the so-called “Grand Tour”, which developed a new idea of travel: travel for travel’s sakes, in the name of curiosity and knowledge, a completely new concept that precisely become embodied in the “Italy trip” vogue.

This is why we think we have an important responsibility towards our guests, as we are the host of such a magnificent city as Rome is, with its immense cultural and historical heritage.

Our unbeatable location allows you to walk to all the main sites: our privileged position makes it easy to explore all the wonders of the Eternal City, the city that gave birth to the Western civilization. From every corner, all in one you can see Imperial Rome, medieval Rome and Renaissance Rome, four layers that enclose 2764 years of unbelievable history.

Our challenge is to let you live all this and make your trip to Rome a successful one.

Hope to see you again soon,

Kind Regards

F. Severino

Dear Guest,
One needs always to keep in mind the period you are staying in Rome. There is a high and low season. I noticed that you did stay during high season and therefore the rates were higher than low season. We do suggest to all of our guests to reserve directly through the hotel by either calling or going through the website this way you will always receive the best rates for the period you select. Thank you for deciding to return to us if you return to Rome. This tells us that your stay with us was enjoyable and fulfilling.

Warmest regards,
F. Severino

My husband and I recently stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and it only deserves excellent reviews. I could wax lyrical about it, but it has already been written. If you are reading this because you're trying to chose somewhere to stay, well we can't all be wrong....................it's everything we say it is. Excellent and more.

Thank you for your short but excellent review! You praised our constant commitment to provide always the best in welcoming and service by saying that you just can’t say different from all what has already been written in more than 470 excellent reviews that we received until now.

After renovation in 2007 we worked even harder in order to improve more and more our performances and the wuality of our services: every day we are able to see the results through the numbers of valuable reviews we receive from guests who kept fond memories of their trip to Rome, the Eternal City. We know that a trip to Rome is the trip of a lifetime therefore we always put at our guests’ disposal all our energies to make their trip unforgettable.

Wishing you all the best,

F. Severino

The hotel was wonderful. We stayed 5 nights in two rooms on the top floor to experience the sunrise on one side & sunsets on the other. Staff was wonderful. The only minor drawback (or bonus depending on your point of view) was the thinness of the walls between rooms. The amorous adventures of your neighbours could be inspiring or annoying depending on your perspective :)

Room Tip: The top floor has wonderful views, morning sun rises on one side & sunsets on the other and the...

Dear guest,

“Wooooonderful!!!”

Your review is twice for us being two rooms since the opinion of your stay is divided by two rooms meaning minimum 4 people. If the o’s in your title represent your enjoyment while staying with us than we have succeeded in our object of hosting you. The sunrise and sunset are truly beautiful but they are the frame work of beautiful photos which are the roof tops of this Eternal City. Nothing can beat the view of the Vatican Dome or Il Campidogliio. Views which have been seen for centuries by millions of people and you have the possibility to see them as well while sipping a glass of wine or whatever one desires.

We stayed here for five nights in February. The deluxe room was compact, comfortable, clean and warm. The location is exceptional - right in the heart of the city, a pictursque square adjacent to the hotel has restaurants that are good and inexpensive. Reception staff were outstanding - excellent English spoken, they were without exception friendly and helpful (booking tickets for Vatican Museums, Villa Borghese ans well as limo pickup from the airport. We will certainly return to this hotel.
