A great place to explore the city from. The hotel is clean and tidy and the room size is good. The roof bar is great and the best place to be as the sun goes down. Breakfast is good and you can also eat it on the roof which is fab.
The only problem and it is a small one is that the Wi-Fi in the hotel is sooooo slow it is pointless it just does not work.

A great location for a weekend visit to Rome. Our room was of a good size but the bathroom was very small. The whole hotel is very clean and well kept and the bed was very good. The only complaints and they are only small are the Wi-Fi doesn't work anywhere in the hotel. You can get connected but it is sooooo slow it is unusable. And we had a adjoining door and had to listen to the snoring from the next room.
One of the big pluses is the roof bar, the views are amazing and it is a little bit of tranquility in a loud and hectic city.

This is a 4 star hotel under the Italian classification and this level covers a huge variation of standard. Diana would be a 3 star hotel at best on a French or an US scale. This hotel actually has single rooms with single room prices, so for the solo traveller the rate can be quite reasonable but for doubles they are just at the normal Roman price. The single room was comes with a single bed, the desk was small and much of the surface was taken up by the television set. There was no extra charge for in-room WiFi and two bottles of water, a pepsi and a small packet of crisps (not replenished daily) were provided «free of charge», which was a nice touch. The breakfast was also included in the room rate and was of a higher standard than the typical coffee plus sweet pastry offered in many other places, but it was by no means exceptional. The air condition was not turned on the first and second days but it did on the third day when the temperature rose above 28°C. It was feeble (except for the noise it made) but it cooled down the room if left on a few hours. I had an inside room and had to leave the windows open at night. While there was no noise from the street you could hear the noisy ventilation from the kitchen and I was woken before 6 a.m. by staff preparing for breakfast one floor up.

The younger guy at the reception was very friendly but the others not so. Check-out time is 10 a.m.!

Hotel Diana in Rome is in a great position for transport, restaurants & shopping. It is spotlessly clean, staff are helpful & friendly, & the roof garden is an oasis from the noise & traffic of the streets below. The rooms are small but the prices are very reasonable & the food in the restaurant is simple Italian fare. The breakfast which is included in the tariff has hot & cold dishes. It is situated within easy walking distance to the Termini with trains & buses connecting to regional areas as well as the Airport & Civitacecchia. Many major tourist spots are within walking distance from the hotel. The area is vibrant with many restaurants , touristy shops & stalls. Will stay here again when in Rome.

Room Tip: Some rooms have wifi connected.

This hotel was centrally located and easy to find - cab drivers all knew where it was. The staff spoke English decently, but not fluently.
The rooms are very small compared to American 4-star hotels but we expected that. As a matter of fact, I know some people who just wouldn't have been able to fit into the room without moving furniture.
The bathroom was large but had one of those annoying European half shower-doors that made it impossible to shower without soaking the entire bathroom. Free breakfast and Wi-Fi.
They were very accommodating with a last minute change in our reservations.

Would have gotten 4 stars if not for the AC issue

BAD
No AC. The place was boiling. And I got an excuse about how they don't turn on AC at Rome that time of the year. Give me a break - it's your electrical bill. You can turn on the AC if you like. And check the forecast to anticipate heat waves.

Location was great but, found the rooms a little small and, also the breakfast was very mediocre. From the photo's shown had much higher expectations. Bed was comfy, towels nice and fluffy but, staff on reception could be friendlier and more well informed. Room staff were excellent.
