What a great location! Across the street from the Termini Station. The hotel has been renovated since we were last here a couple of years ago. The new windows do eliminate most of the street noise. The breakfast is okay.

Yes, the rooms are small. How small? We were wondering if we had the world’s smallest shower. So we measured. As we don’t travel with a measuring tape, we used a standard 8.5 x 11 piece of paper to estimate. Our shower was two paper pages wide. So, the shower was about 22 inches by 22 inches. That does not count the plumbing fixtures that stick out of the wall. The toilet sat in an opening we estimated at 1 3/4 paper lengths — about 20 inches wide. Like sitting in Spirit Airlines!

You could do a Laurel and Hardy film here. The skinny guy (Stan Laurel) would fit fine. But the larger fellow (Oliver Hardy) would get stuck. Frustration and hilarity would ensue. In any event, we would stay here again just for the location. The shower and toilet contortions come at no extra charge.

Dear Mr Doug,
Thank you for sending us your feedback after your recent stay at our Hotel Aphrodite. We are happy to know that you enjoyed your stay with us. Regarding the room sizes, we do advertise everyt details. Anyway they are all standard and practical rooms .
The spaciousness of the rooms is definitely not always large but this is the typical characteristic of the hotels in the historic centre of Rome which are basically within ancient buildings structurally invariant. We hope for seeing you next time. We will be pleased to welcome you again in Rome and thank you again for your review. Kind regards,

Dear Customer,

Thanks for taking the time to write this review. We’re happy to know that you appreciate our location to be at only 1 minute from central Termini station, main departure point for high speed trains, Leonardo Express to the airport and the big part of buses and underground lines. We’re also glad that you have found all our staff pleasant, they all work every day very hard to satisfy your needs. We really hope to see you again as our guest at Aphrodite Hotel.

Hotel Aphrodite was a great base for my trip to Rome. Had a single room which was basic but pleasant and clean. The breakfast was okay. You don’t get much of a view here (other than the side of Termini station) but that’s a price worth paying for being so close to the metro, buses and trains. Just a two minute walk from the station. Don’t use the stuff in the minibar - I was charged €1.50 for a small bottle of water which you can get from a shop on the same road for 50c. The WiFi seems a bit temperamental. I couldn’t get it to work in my room, or at reception for that matter when I was checking in.

My room was a single one. It had a view to via Marsala (opposite to Termini station), so a lot of noise when the window was open. Clean room and bathroom, but with a tiny shower! The first impression (especially the entrance) was not that good for a four-star hotel, but in the end it was nice with amazing breakfast! The neighborhood has easy access to everything and a lot of restaurants and souvenir shops around.

Great little hotel right next to Termini station. Clean and smart hotel, at a reasonable price. The check-in was a little slow but that is a minor details.
The rooms were very clean and quite big with the usual TV and kettle.
Would definitely stay again.
