Located literally a stones throw from the Colosseum and within walking distance of the Trevi Fountain. The rooms are lovely and there's plenty of restaurants nearby. We travelled through from Naples and walked to the hotel from the train station, using google maps. Pretty much walk in a straight line for the majority of the journey. Big, wide open streets and a lovely area to walk through. I highly recommend this hotel.

I booked a vacation to Italy for my family through a travel site and we found an option to upgrade from their standard hotel near the Termini to this absolute gem on one of the Seven Hills of Ancient Rome. Just a few minutes' walk from the famous Colosseum and the ancient Roman Forum, this hotel is a perfect destination for some of the best of what this incredible city has to offer.

We brought my four-year-old niece with us, which we had some reservations about, but the hotel staff were absolutely enamoured with her and went out of their way to make sure she was happy and comfortable. They even helped us find her lost stuffed animal. They were absolutely wonderful. They called taxis for us. They recommended some exquisite, affordable Roman restaurants that I will be talking about for months. The rooms are spacious and modern. The beautiful breakfast bar upstairs, complete with a deck and a stunning view of the Colosseum, will have you wanting to stop in for a bite every morning before you venture out into this beautiful (and extremely photogenic!) city.

Trust Hotel Capo d'Africa to be your home when you visit Rome and you will have a wonderful vacation. I can't recommend them enough!

This property is just a few minutes walk from the Colloseum and in a residential area so reasonably quiet at night. The weather has been very warm for February and the hotel has had heating on which we couldn't turn down so we had to sleep with the window open all night. Not really an issue as it was great sightseeing in the sunshine however the hotel did feel like an oven everywhere. Breakfast was reasonable and there is a small bar in reception. We did sit up on the terrace even though it was winter and I can imagine it would be fabulous in the summer months. The decoration is a bit dated and rooms look a bit worn but everything was clean and the hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming. Overall for location I would highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel is centrally located and just 300 m to the colosseo. The staff are friendly and quick to respond to any requests you may have. Angelique, who checked us in had us laughing at our poor Italian and her good English. Our upgraded room was very large with big fluffy towels, hot rain shower, comfortable extra large bed, 2 big windows, closet, desk and lounge chair, TV and all the amenities you could expect. We did not eat at the hotel but there were plenty of local restaurants nearby. We walked to all the major sight seeing areas of Rome from the hotel, no need for the metro. There is a workout room.

Room tip: We stayed in room 215 - two large windows, one floor up from reception

The hotel is ideally located for all of Romes main tourist sites. The rooms are clean and tidy and the staff could not be more helpful.
The Coliseum is at the end of the road that the hotel sits on ,with plenty of bars and restaurants just around the corner from the hotel. All good quality food and very reasonably priced.
We had a great time and would recommend this establishment to anyone looking for enjoyment.

Room tip: Any one staying at this hotel would not be disappointed with any room.
