I visited Wine Tasting Dinner on April 03, 2018. There were also 4 wonderful people from Sweden & US. The host was an intellectual American woman who knew lots of things and was extremely talented at presenting 8 Italian wines (+ food).
The experience was grand, I tried good wines, and cheese, and dessert. Superb.
I will recommend this to my friends!

Arrived a little early and was escorted to the wine cellar in the basement. Our American host made us feel very welcome. An evening of heavenly wine , excellent food and good conversation with interesting people followed. Three and a half hours later we reluctantly left to make our way home. I cannot recommend this place enough - we had a blast.

We participated in a wine and food pairing dinner. We sampled 9 wines, learning about the winery, the growing conditions, the winemaker, the varietal. The wines were representative of many Italian regions - Tuscany, Unmbria, Piemonte, Sicily, Laio, Marche, etc. Each wine was paired with at least two small servings of food. The food enhanced the flavor of the wine and vice versa. Our sommelier was excellent, sharing her passion for her adopted country and its wines. One of the dishes served was Cacio e Pepe, my favorite local dish. This dish was the best we had in all of Italy. The pepper was freshly and coarsely ground. The pasta had just the right amount of cheese and the noodles were perfectly al dente. I'm sure we will visit again next time we are in Rome.

Roscioli's was recommended to us as must-try dining experience while in Rome, and we were not disappointed. We enjoyed eight different wines paired with locally-sourced Italian products...each dish more delicious than the last! The capstone of the night was the host, whose exuberant presentation and his detailed knowledge of each and every item showed how much he believed in everything they served. A truly wonderful night and a must-do for wine lovers in Rome!
