“Great Place to Stay in Trastevere”
Reviewed October 28, 2015 for a stay in October 2015

5 of us stayed here for 5 nights while visiting Rome. It is a great location for sightseeing. The tram is 2 blocks away along with bus stops. There are many eating places and little shops. Leon who manages the place was great to work with, he helped us book a taxi and told us places that were good to eat and drink at. The only downfall was we thought there was a washing machine and there was not, but there was a laundry mat three blocks away so no problem. The three bedrooms were great for two couples and a single person, each room had it's own bathroom which was a plus. The price was reasonable. Would definitely stay again.

Hi Peggy,
we're happy you had a nice time here. I'm going to check about washing machine, because maybe I made a mistake to add this service or I thought about self service laundry service. Thank lot to mark it!
Take care and welcome back to Rome in my apartments! See you, Stefano

Warm welcome, and helpful. Very clean and comfortable. Great having a bathroom for each room, saved the queuing in the morning. Ideal location for the old interesting area of Trastevere and Gianicolo Hill (great view of the city), also few minutes from the tram if you want to save your legs a bit, although it wasn't too far to walk to central areas. Sorted out taxi back to the airport which was very helpful

“Great location”

Nice apartment with all you need. In a great location, walking distance to nice restaurants, bars and the sights. Opening the lock on the door was a bit tricky. Stefano was very helpful too.

“Great apartment for a great price!”
Reviewed May 26, 2015 for a stay in May 2015

This apartment was perfect for travel with our young adult children. It was like having 3 hotel rooms for the price of one, plus a kitchen. Each of the 3 bedrooms has its own private bathroom. The location, although not close to the sites (its a 30 minute walk to the Coliseum, and 40 to the Vatican), is wonderful, as the neighborhood has a lot of great restaurants and character. Stefano, the owner, was very nice as well as extremely helpful, taking all the time we needed to give us directions, tips about Rome, the neighborhood, restaurants, etc. He was very flexible about the uncertainty of our arrival time.

“Brilliant apartment Ideal base for exploring Rome”

Trastevere rooms, for a family group such as ours (2 adults and 2 teenage sons) is perfect. It consists of three bedrooms each with its own bathroom, all very clean and comfortable. Each bedroom opens onto a central area containing a large table and a kitchenette in one corner. Breakfast provisions were supplied, something we had not expected but was much appreciated. As for all our other meals we just stepped out of the front door to find a huge choice of reasonably-priced restaurants nearby. If you prefer self-catering, or for any other extras you might need, there are two little supermarkets within two doors of the apartment building. The owner, Stefano is friendly and helpful and is a fluent English speaker. He gave us plenty of information beforehand including directions to the flat, and apart from when he met us at the start of our stay we did not see him again. (Incidentally if you arrive by train I recommend taking a taxi, it costs about 15 euros). Stefano met us outside the apartment and did his best to put us at our ease and was not fazed by me not knowing exactly what time our train was arriving. Inside the flat after a quick tour, he gave us a map of the city and went through it with us marking out where all the places of interest are in relation to the apartment, which as first time visitors to Rome we found very useful.
The location of the apartment in the Trastevere area is great for exploring Rome. It is only up the road from the Vatican and just across the river from almost all of the ancient monuments and judging from how busy the restaurants are at night it is the place that many visitors make their way to from other parts of the city. We were able to get everywhere on foot and only needed to take taxis twice, once on arrival from the train station to the flat and once when we were leaving to get to the car rental office. Overall I think this place is brilliant and should I be lucky enough to get another opportunity to visit Rome again (not guaranteed, as the Trevi fountain was covered in scaffolding and my coin was tossed into an empty stone bowl - so not sure if magic will still work), I would definitely choose Trastevere Rooms again.
