“Exceptionally lovely, clean, functional, and great location!”

Our family group consisted of 7 adults and 3 teens. This apartment accommodated us easily and was very spacious. Location is outstanding, just a block away from Navona Piazza and centrally located. We walked to every destination from the Colosseum to the Vatican to Treve Fountain to Spanish Steps, and more, with ease from this location. This apartment is as lovely as the pictures and very clean. I'd ask for more kitchen towels - and you'll need to purchase your own paper products (napkins, paper towels, toilet paper) and coffee - but easy to find as a mini-supermarket is close by. You may also want to get your own soaps - or be prepared to use used ones. A small oversight in accommodations for such an excellent find. You should love this place - we sure did!!

“Stunning Apartment, Excellent Location, Wonderful Communication.”

From the beginning of the booking process, the owners answered all my questions in a timely, friendly and helpful manner.

We were a group of 10 friends arriving from both Rome airports, and we were offered help booking trips, arranging Airport Transfers, even offering a luggage storage option. Friendly, helpful and accommodating, I was blown away by their help.

The apartment itself was stunning, with 3 huge double rooms, a Twin, and another room containing a Double and a small single, the apartment was massive. Located on the second floor (small 3/4 person lift access) of a building 2 streets (3 minute walk away) from Piazza Navona. Light and airy with the windows open, the rooms were silent and pitch black once the shutters were closed.

With a fully stocked kitchen, 3 bathrooms, and more socialising space than even the 10 of us knew what to do with, everything was clean, tidy, and the joining and departure instructions were very clear.

The street outside featured a host of bars and restaurants, and I can't recommend Ponte & Parione more. It became our local restaurant, with great food, friendly staff, and merely 2 minutes walk home after a night of enjoying the Lemoncello.

Overall a fantastic mini-break in a great location, at a fantastic price. If we were to return to Rome, this apartment would certainly be top of my list of places to stay.

Liked best: Possibly the largest Living Room/Communal space I've ever seen
Liked least: Wifi could be a little flaky, but there were 10 of us trying to access it.

“Amazing location - fantastic apartment”

We came to Rome for a short 4 day break with a family of 9 and a baby and could not have been more impressed. The apartment is HUGE, with 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and gigantic lounge it was perfect to allow the younger children to run around, yet amazingly quiet with the shutters closed at night. The air-conditioning provides a perfect cool environment if you need a siesta to avoid the afternoon heat of Rome. The location of this apartment could not be better, with many tourist destinations within easy walking distance and the area around the Piazza Navonna is beautiful, full of restaurants, quaint side streets, and the Piazza Navonna itself is a tourist hotspot.. Everything you need is included - bedding, towels, dishwasher, washing machine - however no dishwasher of washing machine tablets are provided. Habitat Italy were very helpful arranging taxi pickup and drop-off to the airport and answering numerous questions.

“Loved this apartment”

I stayed here with my 2 sister-in-laws, 1 brother-in-law, 2 nieces & my husband. We all had privacy, our own bathrooms & lots of room for our "stuff". The windows of this great place pretty much sealed shut at night, making for utter quietness. The baths were wonderful, the place was clean & rather elegant. It held 7 people quite well. Downside; the air conditioning would go off late in the evening & refuse to come on until early morn (?). Luckily we had gorgeous weather so it was not a huge issue. Also, the tea kettle to boil water was gross & moldy inside. Luckily we brought our own coffee & filters & used the American coffee maker on premises. We had a strange occurrence when a cleaning lady & a man wanting to match paint samples let themselves in while we were all there. We couldn't communicate as they did not speak English but we got our message across that they would have to come back after we departed. All in all, a fabulous place in a most fantastic area. We would rent there again without hesitation. Ms Bo D.

We arrived in Rome with members of two different families and very different needs traveling together for the first time. This beautiful, spacious apartment was ideal by offering the best combination of communal and private spaces in a gorgeous, historic building in a centrally-located, but quiet area with all amenities. Habitat Italy was marvelous and as someone who has traveled extensively, I would rent this apartment again in a heartbeat. The apartment really did create the perfect launching pad for our stay in Italy.

Management Response
19 Dec 2013
I am sorry for the unfortunate experience as you were leaving the house. We had adverted the owner that your check out would not be the normal 11:00 am but about 15:30 and did not expect them to come earlier. This was the same person who attempted to buzz you on the intercom. I also noticed the workmen next door who were repairing a bathroom and apologize for the occurrence which is something which we could not able to anticipate. The apartment next to the one your rented is owned by the Vice-Premier of Italy so I can assure you that there was no security risk caused by his workers, however, I can sympathize with your apprehension. The flat is located practically across the street from the Senate and there are cameras on the first floor of the building, there has never been a security issue.

I thank you for your suggestion of additional lighting in the very large living room, we have provided for this now. The residual in the kettle was calcium deposits from the boiling water. Rome water is one of the highest is calcium and this causes residue in the washing machine, dishwashers and kettles. While there is no sanitary or health issue caused by this I can, again, understand your perplexity.

As far as the apartment being dated, it is a brand new flat, including all furnishings and, although the style may not have been to your liking, I can assure you that it was professionally furnished by a decorated with custom furnishings and no IKEA pieces. Normally detergents for personal washes are not included in the apartments for rent. Also, towels are never changed in vacation rental properties, as opposed to hotels, unless guests are staying more than 5 days. I did mention that daily change of towels was available at an additional cost and this is listed in our contract as well. The cleaning fee is actually low in this apartment for the 10 guests that it accommodated. The €100 paid does not cover the professional laundry cost of washing all the towels and sheets and the maid as well.

In closing, we have resolved the minor lighting issue and, in future, we have forbidden any visits to the property on any day guests are present to avoid the reoccurrence of the situation. Naturally I hope that the location and space of this unusually large 5 bedroom provided you with an excellent base to visit everything Rome has to offer within walking distance.

Thanking you for your critique, hope you had a safe trip home.

Best Regards
Habitat Italy
