The Inn At The Roman Forum
Ranked #13 of 1,272 Hotels in Rome
Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed 4 weeks ago via mobile

Recently spent a spectator visit to Rome Italy which was enriched by our stay at the Inn at the Roman Forum. Situated in the middle of what you go to Rome to see historical sites,Museums, Shopping and great restaurants. The hotel has an exceptional staff ready to make you entire stay everything you could ask for. We upgraded our two double rooms to an apartment with 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, full kitchen, spacious living room. The two floors gave us the amount of space and privacy unexpected in Rome’s most desirable location. The hotel itself although a historic site has all the modern features and comforts found in the most modern upscale hotels.

We recently stayed at The Inn at the Roman Forum for a week with a few friends of ours. From start to finish, they were so incredibly helpful and courteous. They helped us organize transpo to and from Fuimicino airport, they gave great restaurant recommendations in the Monti neighborhood (where the hotel is located), and always checked in with us to see what we needed. The staff was fantastic, the facility was great...we can't wait to visit again!

The Inn at the Roman Forum is ideal for a city break in Rome. It is located right by the Forum, 10-15 minute walk from Pantheon, Fontana di Trevi, Spanish Steps, and the staff are extremely friendly and efficient. We were lucky to be upgraded from 2 superior rooms to a Luxury Apartment, which had 2 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a large kitchen and huge living room with a small balcony. We were so tired on the second night we decided to stay in to have dinner and got room service. Breakfast was very good and the lady in charge had an amazing memory, remembering everyone´s orders from the previous day! It has a beautiful roof terrace with amazing views as well. I can highly recommend this hotel.

Location - side street off of a busy touristy area. Excellent location if you intend on exploring by foot.
Service - 5 stars. Thoughtful. Friendly. They were very good about email communication. My husband and I have been to Rome before, and I can see how this hotel would be very useful for people who have never visited or may have issues navigating around. The reception started in the temple ruins which was a happy surprise to begin our Italy trip. There were complimentary meat/cheese plates on arrival along with a bottle of wine.
Breakfast - excellent selection, delicious.
Rooms - We stayed in the 3 bedroom suites. One morning, one shower ran out of hot water. We had no issues with the other morning/nights. There are no international adaptors for the electrical outlets (but some are available to rent). They provided slippers, vanity amenities, and the two bedroom suite had a laundry machine. Anyone with disabilities may have trouble descending the winding narrow staircase to the bedrooms.

None of this was a surprise for us because this is kind of what we expect from boutique hotel in Italy. All the positives of this hotel greatly out-weighed the negatives. Overall it's a great value. Just can't expect American-style international hotels without paying three times the price in Rome.

Also, eat dinner where they recommend. They were MUCH better in their suggestions than the popular guidebooks we followed. We would definitely stay here again.
