This small hotel on a side street in Trastevere was charming. The reception staff were all helpful, pleasant, and considerate. The courtyard is lovely (see photo). Our room was comfortable and reasonably spacious. The bathroom had a large shower. The breakfast, served in a room accessible by stairs from the courtyard, was consistently delicious.

The location is convenient for anyone prepared to walk a km or so to tourist destinations on the other side of the Tiber — or take a bus or tram (no nearby metro stop). There is also a taxi stand only a block away.

Highly recommended as a comfortable and surprisingly secluded place to stay in Trastevere.

My husband and I along with my sister traveled in Italy together and stayed here for 2 nights. We had a huge family room for the three of us. The hotel has a lot of architectural charm and they provide a very good breakfast which is convenient. There is also a good restaurant just steps away. We arrived very late at night and the restaurant was still open which was a lifesaver. The area is convenient for trams and busses. The hotel staff is attentive and helpful.

This was our second stay at this establishment. A very private place in the middle of Rome’s most crazy neighborhood. We had a double that overlooked the courtyard. The staff was very helpful, and the breakfast very nice. We will be back our next time in Rome.

this is a lot rating as we expected more from reading all the reviews. granted the location in trastevere is great and the service was very good. we had two rooms in our six night stay. the first was a bigger room but the lay out was dumb. bathroom was cramped. door in way of sink looked out into an inner courtyard but was small land just a parking lot for scooters. the second room was smaller and faced the street. so if you had the window open you were right by passer by. this is a converted convent and you had to open another door down the street form the main hotel. the door creaked. the humor was it was like young Frankenstein. i think if you wer ein the main residence it might be better. the bed was good with fairly good pillows. for five days same sheets. the amenities are all in those bottles on the wall which i hate. did not get breakfast as ther are numerous places to have a light italian breakfast. the two restaurants on the street were excellent.

Dear Guest,
thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay.

We regret reading that we did not fully meet your expectations. Our building, as you correctly pointed out, is a converted convent from the XII century. This clearly adds up to its charme, but it also means it is not a standard hotel with rooms all the same along plain long corridors.

We have 9 room typologies, in order to satisfy all of our Guests needs. Economy and Stardard rooms are located in the annex you are talking about and they face the street (even though it is a small street closed to traffic, so they remain quiet). Around the garden instead, on ground and first floor, we have our Superior rooms and Suites.
Should you want to visit us again (and we hope so!) maybe we would suggest you book one of those if you want to be away from the street. We are in the heart of the historical centre of a metropolis, therefore we believe it is normal that some rooms face the street.

Just one important thing: we change all the sheets and blankets at every departure AND every 2 nights during their stay and a housekeeper double-checks every single room after the maid's cleaning, so definitely it is very strage you had the same sheets for 5 days and if it is true, we will definitely investigate further because that is not our Standard.

In any case, we thank you for your review and are glad you appreciated our lucky location and good service.

Kind regards

We chose this lovely little hotel without realising what a great area it was for eating out - lots of different bars and restaurants in the square. There was a problem with a burst pipe in our room on the day of our arrival. We were contacted by email to let us know of the issue and offered an upgrade in their sister hotel for one night, which we accepted. The following day the hotel arranged a taxi to collect us and take us to our booked hotel, and couldn't have been more helpful. On returning to the hotel after a day out we found a bottle of fizz and some cakes with a thank you note, thanking us for our understanding.
A very quaint rustic hotel with comfy beds and a lovely view over the garden. Very friendly lady who assisted in the breakfast room.

Dear Guest,
thank you so much! Of course some technical issues are always unpredictable and we always feel bad when it happens, but we do our best to solve it as soon as possible and in the smoothest possible way for our Guests. So we deeply thank you for letting us know you appreciated the way we handled the situation and we truly hope you will visit us again when in Rome next time!

Sincerely
