We stayed six nights in a nice room in this well-kept B&B run by a very friendly hostess and her family. Located in a residential neighborhood we enjoyed bars and restaurants nearby - together with locals and not many other tourists. Easily accessible by train from Fiumicino airport, it is a 10 minute walk from Tuscolana station. Although pleasantly detached from the brouhaha of the Centro, it is only a 10 Minute walk to San Giovanni de Laterano and about 20 from the Colosseum. Buses and metro (Re di Roma) nearby offer easy access to all sights, too. We fully recommend A Vinicius et Mita.

Great place, great hospitality, good breakfast, about 25 minutes walking to the Colosseum, 2 minutes to the bus station and 7 minutes to the train station that brings you to the center.
Would for sure go there again for the next stay in Rome.

I stayed here for four days whilst wandering Rome as a tourist. While it was outside the city walls, it was within walking distance to the train line, and felt very safe to walk around. There were several good places to eat close by, and a supermarket as well. The hosts were excellent, and it had a very family feel - breakfast was a good variety and included. The only thing was the sun rose very early (about 5:30am) which woke me up, but I preferred leaving the windows open at night and the sounds were very nice. The surrounding area wasn't very tourist-y which I appreciated, it was a nice suburb and so people were friendly and authentic. I would definitely stay here again.

We spent our holidays in Rome at this marvelous B&B. It is impeccably managed by Signora Adriana and her husband, who run it with all the care you want for a pleasant journey. They are very friendly and, at the same time, discrete: the perfect combination for feeling in a free space and a familiar environment. Rooms are quite and pristine. Location allows you to be in the Centre of Rome in 15 minutes, but it is in a residential neighborhood, which also gives you access to convenient supermarkets and stores (you don't find in the centre). We recoment it thoroughly.

Our family of four stayed at A Vinicius et Mita for two nights in June. We drove into Rome from the east and found the B&B easily. (Do have good driving directions, because the narrow streets and tall buildings can throw off your GPS navigation system!) Off-street parking is offered (for 10 Euros per day).

The hosts are A Vinicius are helpful and considerate. Before leaving, coffee and water was brought to us to enjoy in the terrace at the house. Breakfast offering included breads, cheese, yogurt, fruit, spreads, juices, patries, tea, and coffee. Internet service is available on the computer next to the breakfast room, but not in the bedrooms. Note that the bathroom is private, but is across the hall from the room (you will be given a key).

The Re Di Roma metro stop on the A line is a fairly short walk. There are a number of nice restaurants nearby. We found pizza at Al Grottino on Via Orvieto was spectacular. Also nearby is a SIR supermercato. Even though this B&B is not in the middle of the action, it is in a nice, quiet, and safe neighborhood. The proximity to Via Prenestina makes this location a good choice for anyone driving to Rome.
