Very good food. Nice, long dinner. Very tasty gnocchi and good wine. The owner happened to be sitting near us, which was amusing. He was watching everyone like a hawk! We did get complimentary shots of Limoncello after dinner. Great service!

Food was great, house wine was good - but most of all the restaurant is situated in a very tranquil and quiet area.
The evening we were visiting the restaurant was not fully booked, so the waiter took his time to help us and provided very good service.
The Carbonara was fantastic and the deserts were very delicious :-)

I have visited this place 4 years ago and was happy to come back. Close to the Colosseum but far from the tourist crowdy places, amazing service, we were treated like by own family. Food was very good.

This restaurant was recommended to us by our hostess at the Hotel Paba (also excellent) a couple of blocks away. It is a couple of hundred yards off the beaten track, which means most tourists don't make it that far. It is not fancy but we enjoyed the food. We started with an omelette made with artichokes which was excellent. My partner had spaghetti alla vongole and I had grilled sole. Both were very good. Our host spoke good English and made us feel very welcome and gave us both a free Limoncello at the end of our meal.

It is a fine place, in the closest Colosseo perimeter, with a view on this giant artifact and also on the Neros Golden House ruins.

Really great lunch menu, especially Italian style sandwiches (focaccia, panini, tramezzino). We also tasted pasta and vegetable soup - also nice, however in sandwiches they excel.
