We walked past here accidentally on our last night in Rome. We had been told the best restaurants shouldn't be trying to get you inside or have big signs and menus outside...and this one didn't and it also had oxtail on the menu aswell as tripe...which are also signs of a proper Italian restaurant.
I'm glad we agreed to take a chance and eat here. It was the best way to end our holiday. Everything was cooked perfect.

Very nice place and very good food and wine.
Nevertheless due to the lack of explanations on menu (very large but unclear menu) and no help from waiter we didn’t succeed in ordering what we wanted.
Nice place also to taste special Grappa or other liquors.

This place is really a gem between the italian restaurants in Rome. A must visit for lunch or dinner when in Rome. It is a small place with also some seats outside, even in winter. It is normally fully booked but you get a number and an approximately time when a table comes free. So you can walk aound a little bit or have a drink somewhere else before getting in here. The choice of food and the quality is excellent. The wine list is as thick as a phonebook of a big city. Whe enjoyed this place because of the athmosphere and the excellent food. The people are very nice and the bill was ok too. Famous among Italians but a place to visit also by tourists!

This really is a cul de sac bc the restaurant is a narrow hall that shoots back with bordering and tight seating with wine bottles tattooing every nook and cranny. The Lambruscos were cold and delicious and the owners could not have been friendlier in teaching us about their wines and making us feel so welcome. I only had meat and cheese appetizers but I saw the lasagna coming out of the open kitchen in front and it looked great b

We stumbled upon this gem after a morning touring Sistine Chapel and Vatican. A lovey area full of Cafe’s, restaurants and shops. We noticed this particular had a wait and the surrounding restaurants were 50% full at 2:00 with what seemed like a lot of locals. We arrived, were greeted and told it was a 20-30 minute wait which from the lols of the food and impressive wine list we were happy to wait. While waiting, we strolled the area and stopped into another restaurant for a glass of wine while we waited on our table. Once seated, we found the service attentive and pleasant. We ordered salads which were simple and awesome. The Greek was my favorite! Pasta dishes were excellent and so was the soup. We had a lovely afternoon enjoying the service, wine, food and bustle of the neighborhood. Highly recommend for a great lunch and an impressive wine menu!
