“country tranquility close to Urbino”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 October 2011

My wife and I stayed at Cal Torello for 2 nights in Sept.2011 The B&B is in an attractive country house. It appears to be a nicely restored old country farm house. The two bedrooms both are on the ground floor with Silka ,Luca and their young son living on the floor above. From the back of the building there is a view down a country valley and there is no feeling of nearby neighbors. The price is very reasonable and it's a good base for exploring Urbino. I don't think there are any restaurants close by so maybe having dinner before you return for the evening is a good idea. Both Luca and Silka are excellent, friendly hosts. Although both speak English well, Luca was willing to speak with me in italian, which is important for me. The first time it's a little difficult to find because there are a number of critical roundabouts as your getting closer and closer to Urbino but Luca gave us good instructions which solved the problem. Their sign off the road is not real obvious .In short. an excellent choice.

Room Tip: You have to decide between a bigger bath, a small terrace, and more light in one versus a kitchen an...

Cal Torello is a superb bed and breakfast; the accommodation is very stylishly presented with great attention to detail. It is also very reasonably priced and Silka and Luca are extremely welcoming and very kind and helpful owners. They both speak excellent English and German. The location near Urbino is excellent and the views are to die for. Home made jams and honey are served at breakfast. My only regret is that we only stayed for one night

Room Tip: The apartment with the red tiled shower room is a must for shower enthusiasts

5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 June 2011

My wife and I stayed at Cal Torello for a day or two in June and we were more than delighted with our stay. In our opinion the B&B apartment accommodation are 4* with supberb and stylish bathrooms. We were so pleased with the location, being so close, only some 3 miles from Urbino with caffes and restaurants, and things to do and visit. One big bonus is that the hosts, Sike and Luca, between them speak fluent English, German and French and nothing is too much trouble for them. And finally I should mention the wonderful views and location of the B&B.
