We went there on the recommendation of a friend. We didn't expect much in the way of service or food quality for 10 Euros but we were wrong... the sparkling wine was as good as any I had in Bologna. The very small starter of cheese and a lemon marmalade was a revelation.. who thought those two things would marry? The bean soup had huge prawns and pieces of chicken as well as the Tuscan beans. The apple sponge pudding was lovely and rich with cinnamon, and the expresso was as good as any I had. You must try this place. Its great food at unbelievable prices

Not only was this one of the best meals I had in Italy, I can't think of a time when I've had this quality of lunch for just 20 Euros!

The ingredients were fresh because there's only a few options available each meal. The day I went for lunch, the courses were:

Appetizer - fresh mozzarella drizzled with olive oil and roasted eggplant. (The most memorable mozzarella I've ever had!)

1st course: Option of pesto pasta OR shrimp in pumpkin soup. The shrimp were incredible!

2nd course: Option of Veal OR Fish served over roasted vegetables

3rd course: Cake in rhubarb sauce and whipped cream

Plus: glass of wine, and any kind of coffee drink you want

Memorable meal - I'd go back in a heart beat!

Plus, loved to quirky decor.

We visited this place for lunch thanks to the advice of our Airbnb host. We had fish and pasta which were both perfectly cooked and served. E' Cucina is more different than a typical trattoria or osteria experience, but definitely recommending. If you are looking something between classical and modern Italian foods, E' Cucina is a place to visit!

An.. Um.. Eclectic place... Good food. Go in and put your name down then wait to be called. Lunch is cheaper than dinner. We went per pranzo and had water bread, cover, wine, cafe, pasta and desert for 10 euros. Primo and seconds plus all the rest would have been 20. There is a bit of a choice but basically you get what you're given. It's all good though!

Best lunch deal in Bologna. We came to this restaurant based off a guardian recommendation along with the great tripadvisor reviews and were not disappointed. The staff were friendly and attentive even though they were clearly pressed by the swathes of people coming and going. The food was excellent, fresh and tasty, but what we were most impressed with was the value of their lunch deal. They offer a little aperitivo, a starter (technically, although the portion is much larger), dessert, bread, coffee, a glass of wine and water for only €10 each, which we found astounding. If you wanted a main instead of a starter (a dish with meat or fish basically, then it still only comes to €15!) What is more, they didn't even charge an extra cover charge which most restaurants do, but left it up to you to tip, which you would do anyway because the staff were so lovely! The whole experience was so pleasant and we would 100% recommend it to anyone visiting Bologna!
