Traveling by train I am looking for good hotels near the train station and if possible close to the sights I want to visit. Hotel Diana was perfect. In addition I met an extremely helpful gentleman named Philip at the front desk, include a nice breakfast and it's a 10 in my book. Would stay here again. It took about 10 mins to walk to the hotel from the station, but it was all flat and the hotel was easy to find.

a very nice small hotel, B&B, in an old house. not easy to find with car, because oneway approach.
look for a room on the backside, very calm, but only one crossing to reach the inner city and this is worth to discover

We greatly enjoyed our stay in this comfortable hotel close to the centre of this fabulous city. The room was comfortable and of more than adequate size, breakfast very good, and the owner extremely helpful. He even provided bicycles for a day free of charge! Highly recommended

This hotel is conveniently situated just a few minutes' walk from Piazza del Popolo. We arrived after check-in time and were given the card to our room but when we arrived our room was not ready and had not been cleaned. I went straight down to reception who immediately sent a room maid to put things right. She worked like crazy to change the sheets and get the room and bathroom ready for us. Despite the bad first impression, our bedroom was incredibly spacious overlooking the main street and had a large leather settee, writing desk with integral fridge, well appointed bathroom but the shower clearly needed an upgrade. The breakfast room was on the ground floor and there was a wide selection of fresh juices, fresh fruit, cereals, yoghurts, hams, cheeses, fresh bread and cakes. Although the hotel was a little impersonal it was perfectly acceptable for a short stay in Ravenna.

This hotel is conveniently located to the UNESCO sites, within walking distance, as we didn't have a car. The room was adequate but nothing special although it had a modern bathroom. however the beds were very firm, but to me it is the same through out Europe, (I travel with an air mattress to put on these beds). The breakfast was basic European breakfast, good but not elaborate. The best part of the stay was the fellow at the front desk. He went out of his way to help us and our friends who stayed here to arrange travel after our stay in light of a train strike. Not only was he helpful, but hilarious and had us laughing out loud, (his English was very good). I would stay here again if back in the area.
