The staff make this hotel worth going to, everyone is friendly and willing to chat in English. Food is good, watch out for the run when the melon arrives, it's very popular! Rooms are very basic, like a hostel in Ireland, they are clean and most have a sea view. Beach is a cross the road. Shops etc on street at front door so you don't have to walk far. Rooms very small if you have children, single rooms are great if travelling alone.

From the moment we arrived we knew the Hotel Atlas was perfect. Its location, just a stones throw from the beach is fabulous. The hotel is clean and comfortable. The food was delicious. But the highlight of our stay were the staff. They are friendly and kind. They went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. Travelling with two toddlers, a seven and a sixteen year old, they assisted us in every way possible. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.

Stayed in Atlas Hotel with my daughter. We were very comfortable there. We found all the family management and the staff to be extremely courteous and helpful, from Teresa in reception, always efficient bright and cheerful; to Tomaso, Salvatore, Andrea and all the team to the restaurant who took great care of us, going to extra lengths because we have to eat gluten free. Signore Enzo bought special bread and breakfast foodstuffs for us. We even got gluten free snack boxes for our day trip to Venice!

We noticed that there was a varied and interesting menu with plenty to eat every day and always something we could have.

The Friday evening special meal of local foods was great fun and very tasty. Everyone on the staff team entered into the spirit and made it an event.

The pool is small but big enough for a dip and it was very well maintained and supervised.

Overall we were very happy there and would have no hesitation returning.

The 11 bus runs outside very frequently. It is great for going in and out of Rimini town which is worth a visit, there are some remnants of the Roman past.

Some hints tips and traps:

The hotel is not a modern new build so don't expect everything sparkling new. The rooms are not spacious but were fine. It is comfortable and has a certain charm...largely due to the staff.

Be careful if you have folding concertina shower doors they were wobbly and awkward...need to be replaced.

There isn't a non-smoking bedroom option, but this is a cultural thing. Generally there was a lot more smoking in Italy than in Ireland. Thankfully in Hotel Atlas there was a no smoking policy in the lobby and dining room which was a welcome relief from the smoking in restaurants, on the beach, on the street.

There is a charge for using sunbeds and umbrellas on the beach...get vouchers from hotel reception.

Don't bring drinks from outside into the hotel. We committed this cultural faux pas inadvertently. There was no coca cola zero in the bar and I can't drink caffeine at night so we bought some to have in the evenings. This caused offence...

Never again, the manger is very rude & the food is not good. Small rooms with dirty linen. Pool side you get a great smell of garbage.

Staff we helpful & nice but they were all wary of the manger who was always giving out to one of them.

Room Tip: Do not pick this hotel

Atlas hotel offers all the essential and something mornera the centre of Rimini marina. With a good and free of charge parking lot (very important for the drivers) the hotel lays just in front of the huge Rimini beach. There's a nice swimming pool, every room has its own air conditioned and TV set, staff is very kind and professional and prices are at the best in the area. Rooms are substantially confortable but I suggest the ones on the seaside because the ones in front of the street are a little bit noisy in the night. Cleaning is accurate and timely. Breakfast is not bad but it doesn't earn the best rate because of coffee (espresso but a little bit "burnt") and part of the offered food. Fruit is good quality asthe cakes, whist the rest is cheap...All 'n all is a very good choice due to the share between costs and quality. Only rooms manteinance is not a the best and you can have some little faults in the furniture or the elecrtical or bath appliances: this is the only reason I for the four stars instead of five.

Room Tip: definitely chose the seaside rooms
