A very modern hotel built over a very old pier in Genoa harbor is very convenient for walking to see the sights around the harbor and in the city. As you walk from reception to the restaurant you pass over a glass floor revealing the old stone pier beneath. The ship mooring bollards have been retained and protrude up through the floor, something I've never seen in all my travels.
The hotel is just a 12 Euro taxi ride from the Piazza Principe train station where we arrived from Pisa and departed for Milan.More
