My husband and I just had a delicious traditional Italian dinner at Ristorante Roma. The mussels and ravioli is perfect! We were served by a very sweet gentleman who was very attentive and kind - thank you!

If you are close to the station at La Spazia definitely pop into this place! Well worth it.

During the day the place does not look much but at night it is prettied up with candles - beautiful.

Tips - With some new outdoor chairs, a white marquee (rather than the green one currently used) and some soft music this place could be one of the best in La Spazia.

Right next to the train station. What a gem. The owner helped us with our luggage and we got seated in their patio - it was romantic. The food was amazing and well priced. We told the chef the food was very good and she was so thankful. These kinds of restaurants are rare where the owner and chef take pride in their service and quality. Amazing - I wish I ate there every night.

We had the joy of eating and drinking at this wonderful place with our Large family group. A group of 10 adults and 5 children.
The staff were incredible. They made us feel like family.
The female chef/ cook came and spoke to us and suggested lovely dishes of fresh local produce. She grows a lot of her own salads and herbs. Excellent
And I look forward to visiting again maybe next year.
My husband is vegetarian and the chef was very considerate of his needs.

My partner and I sought out this restaurant as we remembered eating here five years ago when there was a set menu. The freshness of the produce used, the flavours and generous servings stuck with us.

While the restaurant has been updated with renovations and a new menu, the dishes remain sumptuous, authentic and generous. So much so, we dined here for lunch on our first day then dinner over the next two nights.

Greeted with a friendly smile, we were seated right away and as soon as we ordered, our dishes came out promptly. On a busy night, they had al hands on deck with even the chef coming out to serve tables. Very hardworking group of people. The prices are reasonable and some dishes we thought would actually cost more to make.

Our favourite dish was the sauté mussels, probably better than the Michelin played restaurant we dined at nearby. The deep fried calamari and shrimp were also great along with every other dish we ordered on the three occasions. We found the quality to be close to fine dining at much lower prices.

Highly recommended and take a look at the pics of dishes we have. While it won't do it justice, it will give you an idea of the quality.

Our advice is, save yourself the experience of the sub par quality restaurants on the main strip and dine here.

A wise Venetian once told me, if a restaurant's menu is too expansive, then they do nothing well. Elena (owner, and, like most good ristorantes, hostess/waitress) and her sons prepare a marvelous meal and a most welcoming and homey setting. It's really more like having dinner at a friend's house-- who also just happens to be a really good cook. Right near train station. Would definitely go back.
