It was a pleasure to stay in your Appartment, dear John! A great view from the balcony as shown in the photos and perfect communication before arrival and during the holiday time! I am looking forward to come back ;) :)
We shared this apartment with another couple (close friends) for two weeks. We found the apartment to be very comfortable and homey. The location was convenient to Camogli, San Fruttuoso, Santa Margherita, Portofino, San Rocco, and Rapallo. We were able to get around using buses, ferries, and occasionally the train. We enjoyed the conveniently located bakery, restaurants and grocery store in Ruta. Maybe the most spectacular thing about the apartment was the Mediterranean view which we enjoyed every day.
Four of us stayed here and all loved it! The view is the best in Italy! Everything is provided and John Paul is always responsive to needs! Beds are so comfortable, the area has wonderful pastry shops and restaurants and small grocery. It is easy to catch bus to Camogli and surrounding areas and easy access from Camogli to ferries for Portofino area! Fantastic!!! Thanks so much!
We just stayed in this authentic Italian home and loved it. The view of the Mediterranean Sea from the balcony and bedroom is breathtaking. Short drive to Camogli, San Margarita, and Portofino. Great bar and restaurant just a short walk away. Italian bakery and pastry shop just across the street. Already looking forward to my next trip to Italy. I plan on booking this same home when I go.
We stayed in this apartment for 8 nights. It is well equipped and comfortable. The owner, John Paul was very helpful and readily available for information and support if needed. He even sent us pastries one day when we had thought there was a problem with the fridge (he quickly organised an engineer to look at it). The view from the balcony is fantastic and is a lovely place to spend an evening.
We walked into and out of Camogli which takes about 30 minutes and is all up/downhill but it was great to explore the paths. It is a very pretty town with some great restaurants and fortunately not over run with tourists like the towns in the cinque terre. There is a butcher, baker, pharmacy and small shop within 100 metres and we recommend Bar Nicco for an early evening drink.
The bathroom is very small but five of us managed perfectly well.
A real Italian home -bright and clean - with a stunning view. The apartment has everything one can want - fully equipped kitchen, numerous kitchenware, clean towels, bedding. The furniture is beautiful, the beds are firm and pleasant to sleep on. There are regular busses to Rapallo, Camogli etc. I would certainly recommend it to my friends.
If you like finde ciecle architecture, se this! Built in about 1900 or so the re are terrazzo floors and stencilled cielings; in some rooms the furniture actually matches the pelmets. The views over the 'Bay Of Paradise' can't disappoint, nd on a clear day you can see France. Mounatin views too. local people live in the other flats and we liked the feeling that this wasn't a tourist co ples. Great Pastry shop acroos the road, fab, fab bar round the cornwr, Camogli at the bottom of the hilll, so good location. Slight downside is a rather unusual bathroom and not very many plug sockets. but the ups far far outweigh those and the owner John Paul is kindness itself, texting all the way fro the US to see if we were OK . All in all terrific. The ad does say there are a lot of stairs,by the way, and you need to take that information seriously.
