The house is really very nice. A lot of space and rooms, sufficient easily for 4 and even for 6 with comfort, total of 4 rooms that includes two sleeping rooms, one leaving room and an eating room and two bathrooms. But the street is near by and the Italians "Lambretas" do make a lot of noise and in addition the city is not quiet. There is no air condition so one cannot close the windows if hot. In addition, its quite a walk down to the beach and really a hard walk back. But yes, the view is fantastic!
The house is quite big. We were 5 persons and had enough place for all. From the balconies, we had a very nice view on the sea above the Tigullio gulf. There is a way below the house where we can reach Santa Margherita in 10 minutes by feet. Then we are at seaside.
From there, we can take a boat to visit Portofino. It is a very nice small place.
If you want to have both, being close to the sea and beaches and enjoying a wonderful view from above, this is the perfect place to be for you. The apartment has three balconies, one of them big enough for dining etc. the other two are great for sitting and having a glass of wine while having a marvelous view on Santa margherita ligure. It is well equipped and really big, I guess perfect for a family with 2-3 children, so for us it was maybe even too big. Whatsoever we really loved that place and can absolutely recommend it to everyone. Just be aware that the 10 to 15 minute walk to the central beaches of Santa margherita is nice but really steep and it might be inconvenient for elderly people etc.

This apartment is perched high on a hill with 280 degree views over Santa Margherita out to Portofino national park and, looking the other way, out past Rapallo down towards Cinque Terra. Almost all the rooms have views, there is a beautiful terrace, and wonderful little balconies off the living room and master bedroom. The view from the kitchen makes washing up a pleasure. The apartment also has a small garden space downstairs. The only downside for us was that access to the beaches was a bit tricky with a small child and pram. There are stairs leading down to Santa Margerhita (only 15 min walk) but they are steep. Only other comment is that the apartment does not have a microwave, which would have been handy. But apart from that, a stunning base to explore Santa Margherita, Rapallo, Porto Fino and Cinque Terra (50km away).
