The setting is wonderful, climate divine, but food was not quite on the mark for a Michelin restaurant. Our first dish of Sicilian red prawns with guacamole ice cream, coconut cream and cuttlefish waffles was exquisite and whet our appetite for what was to come, but nothing else quite delivered. The foie gras terrine was disappointing, celery root dumplings were gluey and tasteless, the fish was overcooked and tough, as was the veal. The dessert somewhat made up for this with a couple of gastronomic surprises, but overall this was a bit of a let down.
