We were staying in great hotels across Italy (Daniele in Venice, Grand Tremezzo in Como) and booked this for our Lago di Garda stay without knowing anything about it but the reviews. It is an incredible property and our stay was magical. The hotel is run by a manager with an eye for detail and a focus on service. It may have been the best service of any hotel I have stayed in with a perfect combination of attentiveness, personalization and charm. The hotel is on grounds that look like an Italian villa with wonderful landscaping, statues and views that are breathtaking. The lake is a short, but steep climb down or up with a sunbathing pier and a restaurant. If the stairs are too much, the staff cheerfully takes up up and down on a golf cart. Dinner on the outdoor terrace portion of the restaurant was outstanding. We had the tasting menu (with wine) and the quality of the food, the quality of the service combined with the outdoor setting overlooking the lake was almost too much to be believed. The town of Sirimione is nice with shops and restaurants and a castle to tour, and is within walking distance of the hotel. It's very crowded during the day and the only stressful thing about the Villa Cortine is that you have to drive through that crowd through narrow streets to get the the hotel. A great find and we will certainly plan another trip to come here.

Room Tip: It appears that all of the rooms have great lake views. We were on the 2nd floor on the east side and had a great view.

The property and facility are beautiful, on a peninsula in Lake Garda with snow capped mountains on the horizon. There were many places to relax on the grounds and we were just a short walk away from the old town. The on site restaurant served delicious food and had very attentive staff.

Room Tip: We had a sunset view.

We booked this hotel for 4 nights during our stay in Sirmione. The hotel is surrounded with a park and you feel privileged because only the guests can enter the park, there is a private swimming pool, tennis court and private terrace close to the Garda lake. The staff is very friendly, the rooms are wide and clean and with a beautiful terrace. The breakfast is excellent with everything you need. We loved this hotel very much. It is very expensive, but it was worthwile.

The hotel is located in large and beautiful grounds with lake views all around. There is a security controlled side gate to the east of the hotel (looking front on at the hotel) which allows you to quickly and easily walk into the main part of Sirmione.
To the west side there is a path which takes you down to the promenade which leads you to Jamaica Beach (beautiful and a must see).
The hotel is closed from October, but we arrived mid September and temperatures were still warm (23 degrees).
The staff are courteous and the service impeccable. Breakfast is served from early doors until 10:30am which is fantastic for those of us who like a lie in. As a vegetarian and someone with a wheat intolerance, I found enough dishes to eat at breakfast.
We decided to eat out each night in the town, so cannot comment on the restaurant.
One thing which would have improved the stay would have been a Hotel Services guide in the room or an interactive service on the TV, giving you information about the facilities etc. I guess this is where the concierge comes in, however it is nice to have this type of information to hand to peruse at your leisure.
The rooms were very clean and we had a balcony we could sit on, but to avoid mosquitoes we kept the door closed.
The beds are large and comfortable, as are the pillows. The rooms are a decent size so you're not tripping over one another and has plenty of pug sockets for charging.
I would definitely recommend this hotel for couples and those looking for some peace in a luxury environment.

Room Tip: Higher rooms give you a better view of the lake.

The hotel is at the far end of old Sirmione and if driving, you have to negotiate through the very narrow streets. Having said that, it wasn’t nearly as difficult as some writers have intimated. The grounds as you enter are fabulous and you are met by the doorman who will park your car. The check in was quick easy and pleasant. The room was lovely, with views overlooking the lake. The bed was large and comfortable. Dinner in the hotel was fabulous, made even more pleasant by the Maitre d’ who was friendly, attentive and efficient. We actually had two dinners in the hotel out of only three nights in Sirmione. We weren’t so keen on the local restaurants or Sirmione itself which is Very touristy. However the hotel made up for it - it was lovely.
