We had visited Bar Elena several times on previous visits to Stresa, so after our wander to the town centre we decided to revisit. We got a very warm welcome as many returning customers do. We sat outside on the large terrace in the square and were quickly given menus. We decided on toasties, a glass of wine and a coca cola. All came quickly and were good. We revisited several times during our stay in Stresa and always got a warm welcome from the staff. The time we had wines, a small tray of cicchetti was served with various items on it- olives, crisps, popcorn, vegetable crisps- excellent.
We found Bar Elena was a very friendly place in the centre of Stresa and beside the shops. We'll be back next year!

Every night of our holiday we had a drink at Elena's and sat either in the piazza or at the 2 tables in front of the bar area.
Excellent service and a great place so soak up the atmosphere of the piazza.
A nice little extra with our drinks was a typical Italian offering of savoury treats

Didn’t stay at the hotel but had aperitivo from the bar on two occasions as we were well treated on the first, our host recognised us with a warm greeting. We had a selection of affettati and cheeses as well as bruschette and various drinks. A great experience in the middle of the piazza.
