This small modern hotel is one of my favorites anywhere. It is in a great location, 2 blocks from the Duomo and most major sights in Milan. Not only that, there is a gelato shop on one side, wonderful Peck Gourmet gelato, and many other treats, on the other side, and Laduree of Paris macarons across the street!

When we bailed out of going to Venice due to the floods, we booked this hotel in preparation for flying home out of Milan.

Pros:

1. Nice hotel, well appointed, quiet, air conditioning works.
2. Great location near the Duomo, set back so its quiet.
3. Great food store next store for gourmet prepared foods, food items, small restaurant on site.
4. Got good advice about standing in the left line to enter the Duomo (didn't tell us they were screaning for "praying" not just visiting.)

Cons:

1. Came in at 11:00 a.m., room wasn't ready, so we stored our bags. They don't offer some sort of baggage claim ticket. For me, I want proof we gave them all of our luggage and a box with two expensive bottles of wine.
2. When we came back to check in, the bellman didn't ask, just started taking our bags up. When I told him we didn't need help, he just kept on going, taking the bags to our room. Okay, too much service? He heard me but didn't stop--obligating us to a tip.
3. When he came down I asked the front desk to change a 5O euro note--they didn't have the change. When I asked them to change a 20 euro note so I could tip the guy, they didn't have that either!
4. In the morning, the housekeeper rapped on our door, at 8:20 a.m. What is this, the Holiday Express? Then she did it again at 9:30--even harder. With a 12 noon checkout for two tired travelers, this was ridiculous, until at 11:30 she used her key to open our door!
5. When we checked out the management seemed shocked at the 3 knocks from the housekeeper. Really?

For $300.00, this management team doesn't seem to be managing their staff.

Great location very central to all amenities. Food was top class and you feel very well looked after during your stay. Interior design of the hotel is very classy and adds a nice vibe to the surrounding areas

Spadari has everything you would need for a short stay in Milan. Location can´t be beaten (you can walk to most of the attractions in the city), the staff is really attentive and pay attention to details, and all the facilities are in very good condition.
Definitely, an excellent choice!

We had a great stay in this lovely small hotel right in the center of Milan on their “eat street” (artisinal bread, gelato, upscale food and wine purveyors) just steps away. Many things of interest in walking distance for tourists. The best thing was that they would make you any kind of eggs you wanted, and after eating cold cuts and bread everywhere from breakfast it was awesome to have an omelette!

Linens and shower were great. Lots of available healthy snacks and water for no additional charge.

We will stay again if in Milan.
