Stayed here for three nights occupying two rooms. Booked well in advance and took the rate which included parking. Best idea in Milano! The staff was helpful and seemed to really care about their clients. The rooms were small but everything including the AC was operational. WiFi was a bit flaky but who cares. We weren't there to surf the web.

As other people have written, the breakfast is great! Would stay there again. Say hi to Max in the bar and ask him to recommend a place to eat in Milano.

Room Tip: Book online well in advance.

Stayed two nights. Hotel is well located and the reception desk staff happy to help with directions to the sights etc. We stayed across the road in the Tower. That was no inconvenience, and the walk across to breakfast was an easy one, especially as the breakfast on offer was excellent. Free wifi too. Great place to stay in Milan.

On a trip that started in Germany to see our family and friends, we were in Milan to fly out back home. Based on tripadvisor.com ratings, we looked at Hotel Berna to finish our stay in Europe. Reservations through ebookers.

Our first contact directly with Hotel Berna was an email from them which was a confirmation on the reservation. But it went beyond that. Hote Berna staff offered many options for out stay. And most of the options were not options to make them more money. These were free offers, that they provided to make the stay more enjoyable. I highly recommend that potential guest provide an email address for Hotel Berna to provide all your options.

Arriving at the train station in Milan, we found the property is very close to train station, a very short walk when you come out of the train station. We never felt threatened or unsafe there.

The check-in experience was excellent. Very friendly. They provided a nice room check-in brochure explaining helpful information. The staff made sure you know about things available there. Plus, you never got the impression, they were trying to "sell you soomething". Very professional.

The bellman was most helpful, making sure we got to our room, explaining everything.

The room was very clean. Small by American standards, but you are not in the U.S. you are in Europe. It was most comfortable and cozy for a couple. After staying many times in hotels in Europe over the years, we have come to find that rooms are small. But I do not consider this a negative. We did not come to stay in the room, we come to enjoy to area.

We were happy to see that the bed was a complete bed, not a bed that is made up of two small beds. It was very comfortable with enough pillows and a comfortable covers.

The bathroom was very clean and included a bidet.

The refrigerator was stocked with free non-alcoholic beverages and some snacks. Impressive as the other hotels we stayed at in around Europe, you are charged for anything you use out of the refrigerator.

The wi-fi in the hotel is totally free. You are provided with your own user ID and password. If you need a printer, they are available in the lobby. Again, no charge.

The breakfast provided is also most excellent and fresh. Good coffee, fruit, breads, pastries, eggs, bacon, ham, etc.

While close to the train station, we we able to walk to the shopping areas, restaurants, and attractions. Don't be afraid to ask the hotel staff for recommendations, but we also liked to be adventures and eat at places where the locals eat at.

We really enjoyed our stay and most highly recommend Hotel Berna.

We had a two day trip to Italy and stayed at the Berna hotel. From the moment we arrived the staff were wonderfully helpful with great tips about where to eat authentic Italian food and ideas for just about anything. The rooms were filled with all sorts of cookies to eat and a free non-alcoholic mini-bar!!! The breakfast buffet (which is included) was out of this world with everything imaginable to eat and then some! I am a seasoned traveler and something like this I haven't seen for a long while. Great value for a very affordable hotel.

The staff were so very friendly and I would go back to Milan just for this hotel! A jewel!

Room Tip: We booked our rooms at Orbitz and found that both rooms were quiet and beautifully decorated.

From Switzerland to Italy, this was our first stay in Italy. Simply marvelous! Don't be fooled by the outside. Customer service is fantastic! Wonderful room for family of 3 and great bathroom. Breakfast area is a bit small, but very good selections. Plus: entire hotel is non-smoking! Once outside of our room, we smelled someone smoking. Don't know if it was someone in a room or a worker outside in the patio area, but as soon as it was reported to front desk, they sent someone up to investigate and to eliminate the smell. As we checked out, we were offered snacks to take along. Perfect and these were appreciated when we were on the train to Como. Would definitely stay here again!
