I like hotel location (quiet and close to the airport and the station) and the fact that you can park your car in front of the hotel for free. Appriciated also for the price. We could leave our bags after the check out.
Negative: very poor breakfast, the people inside do not speak any English and were not helpful enough

4 girls, just returned from a 3 night stay at Hotel Piola in Milan. We arrived at 2am, which woke the owner up, although he was expecting us! The room was was a decent size, beds were comfy. The bathroom was very small but it had everything we needed, including a decent shower with plenty of hot water! We didn't use the air con, just opened the shutters on the terrace when it was warm, and we appreciated having MTV on the tv whilst getting reafdy for a night out!! Breakfast wasn't great and we decided to get it elsewhere after the first day! The location of the hotel was about a 5 min walk from the Metro, which runs until 1am and it's about 3-10 stops from the best attractions of the city. This was pretty much the cheapest place we could find in Milan where all 4 of us could have a private, en-suit room and as we were only there to sleep and shower it served its purpose perfectly!

This hotel was a real nightmare for us, we didn't make any reservations before hand. So we ended up having to walk in, discussed the price which we had to pay 10€ extra/night to have the air-con, we didn't have any choice as it was something like 40 C° outside! Still they kept switching it off once they see that we went out !

The breakfast was really really really ordinary, some cheap industrial croissants, artificial orange juice, though the coffee was good. Do not expect any hams, bacons or eggs as there won't be any.

The hotel is run by a family, very unfriendly, no sense of welcoming, and not very smiley, the hotel door is closed all the time which means I had to ring before going in everytime, I went out one night and came back around 4 am in the morning, I had to wait almost 15 mins outside before the crumppy gentleman got up from his sleep to come to open the door for me.

The room size was ok for a triple, the toilet is small and needed to have some renovations. Wireless internet is available with supplement charge in the room and a computer is available down at the lobby for 2 or 3€/hr.

Before leaving, we left our luggages which weren't even stored in a room or anything, they just put them in the lobby where we had breakfast just earlier!

To sum this up, don't go there, we were really disappointed and would not recommend this to anyone !

the WORST accomodation I have ever stayed in... after travelling europe for a month, staying in cheap hostels and campsites, the pictures and description of this hostel sounded promising...
however there was no air conditioning and over night the room temperatures reached levels unbearable to sleep in. the cleaner stole possesions of ours. the staff were extremely unfriendly, there is no form of internet which was misleading to their description, unclean, location is quite, hard to find from directions stated on internet. I would warn everyone to stay well away..do not waste your money on this budget hotel.

We arrived at the hotel a couple of hours before check-in and was told that we could not enter our rooms, which is fair, but there was no locked room to place our bags so we had to leave them in the reception area.
As for the room, it had all the facilities you needed although the bathroom in our triple room was very small.

Also, as we had an early flight and had to catch our airport transfer from the central train station(06:30). We asked the male receptionist on the 24 hour desk (whom we asumed that we had just woken up) if he could call our party a taxi - and he just plainly refused....charming
