This is a lovely tranquil place to enjoy a quick stroll while in the area.
Make sure to go into the inner courtyard.
There are a couple of small local non-touristic cafés nearby, too.
I stumbled on to this by using the TripAdvisor App and just letting it "Point Me" towards the Museo della Scienza.
I didn't have time to go in, but a tour around the outside showed great potential for a visit. I'll definitely go visit next time I'm in Milano.
Situated in the former St. Ambrose Monastery, we literally stumbled upon it on our last morning in Milan and it was a great discovery. Inside, the main courtyard is a hub of activity, but if you walk through the gallery to the the right of the main entrance there's a smaller one that's probably as quiet as when it was still used by nuns. We were the only people there, walking between shade and sun in perfect serenity. Don't miss the cafes outside, they are delicious and anything there less than half the price you'd pay closer to the Duomo.
Its a very open place and a nice walk. The local cafes are very inviting. Also very easy to get to by tram
Really a beautiful day to visit this University ~ snowing and almost like it was out of a dream! What a great first look at Milan!!
I'd recommend to step in: ancient kloster, nice atmosphere, you can see real life and Italian youth, professors. Right next to St. Ambrose Basilica.
