“A historic hotel in the heart of Torino”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 31 July 2011

We stayed here at this hotel for one night.
The hotel was well appointed, clean and had a fantastic breakfast.
We stayed in a suite since we were travelling with our children and the room was very spacious.
The staff was consistant with that of a moderately large hotel.
The hotel was close to everything in Torino - we walked everywhere.
The hotel is undergoing some exterior rennovations so we did have a little bit of security concerns in that the scaffolding (easy access to climb it from the street) was right outside our french doors that led to our balcony.

I was on a business trip and had a stay for one night. The hotel is centrally located in Turin and reminded me from the beginning of the old monarchy. The hotel is somehow labyrinthine with lots of thick carpets and old furniture. Nevertheless they have a nice spa and also the breakfast spot is modern and convenient. Breakfast had almost everything you needed. Of course coffee is best, but also differnet sort of eggs and fresh fruits. Typical Italian with additional English/Continental food. Everything is polished and proper. The room was quite extensive for "Italian standards", with lots of small goodies (like house shoes). The staff was very polite, only the reception desk was struggling when too many customers were waiting for check in/out. As we had a special corporate rate for less than EUR 100,-- the price/performance ratio was superb.

Stayed three days while attending a conference. Charming, clean and well maintained...while rooms were big for European standards, they reminded me of staying in a 1970's Cape Cod motel. Rooms were adorned with floral prints and wicker chairs and the bathroom was a bit dated. Also, the wireless connection (while free) was so weak that it kept kicking me off - a big problem for a business traveller.

All in all, room was comfortable, staff friendly and the inner courtyard really beautiful. Would promote for those on vacation, but not for business given the wireless issue.

We would like to recommend Hotel Victoria for both leisure and business travel. The staff is fantastic and helpful, the breakfast garden is charming and it's location is central. We were upgraded during our booking due to the spa being closed so we found ourselves with a nice size room with a little terrace overlooking the garden in full bloom.
I concur with another reviewer ( as we chose the hotel from TA ) great alternative for a traditional/cozy hotel instead of the typical 'modern' for business.
Great restaurant suggestions and next time we will definitely try the spa.

Great location, really clean and comfortable. The design is old school but well maintained. Imagine old ladies having tea in a country hotel in England. But the rooms are very comfortable and spacious. Free wifi too. Recommended for older people and business travellers.

Stayed at this lovely hotel late October. The rooms are beautiful, very roomy, with lovely bathrooms. The only thing I should mention is that there is no shower as we know it in the deluxe rooms, only a removable shower head attached to the bathtub taps, so a bit tricky to have a long hot shower with one hand holding the nozzle up, but a small thing as the hotel has so much to offer. The public areas are elegant and a pleasure to relax in after a long day of walking the beautiful city of Turin. Breakfast is great, not hot though, which would be a nice addition to the great selection they already have. The staff were fantastic, very helpful, and advised us of three wonderful restaurants close by. The location of the hotel is very convenient to all that Turin has to offer. Would certainly come back to Turin and the Hotel Victoria. There is a wonderful spa which I unfortunately did not take advantage of, but there is always next time.
