A stay at Gardenresidence Zea Curtis is always bliss. The rooms are beautiful and the cleaining-service is always up to scratch. The reception is super friendly and helpful, the advice regarding walks, bus transport, etc. is always correct.
Breakfast: super tasty, extensive choice and an EXTREMELY good and pleasant service, it can't get any better.
We have visited Zea Curtis for the 10 times. We are very happy here. There are comfortable rooms, swimming pool is long and heated. Hotel Gardenresidence is surrounded by a beautiful garden and there is quite area. The city center is a 10 minute walk. Gitti and Christine are very friendly and helpful. We will definitely come back again!
After covid-19 caused us to cancel a planned trip to France, we decided to stay closer to home and discovered the Zea Curtis in the Internet. I can only agree wholeheartedly with other recent reviewers; we have seldom found a vacation residence that approaches perfection as the Zea Curtis does. Our apartment is spacious, comfortable and well-appointed, very quiet at night. The beds are extremely comfortable. The swimming pool is long enough for serious swimming (around 16 meters by my reckoning). The garden around the pool is natural, lush and beautiful. It is a joy to have a beer or cappuccino in the bar area and chat with the friendly staff, who are very well informed about Meran and the surrounding area.
We have already resolved to return for a spontaneous vacation at the earliest opportunity!
Our family visited Zea Curtis with 2 kids around easter. What a view, what a pool, what superb hospitality! We will visit again for sure. Local delicatessen around breakfast. Service that made us feel very welcome and special. Kids absolutely demanded to stay for few more days.. :-)
We stayed for 3 nights in Zea Curtis in September 2011. We were looking for a hotel in Meran with pool and therefore selected Zea Curtis based on very good reviews and nice pictures on their homepage.
We were quite surprised when we arrived. The hotel seems to cater more for older couples. I would say that 80% of the guests were older than 50-60. All the interiour (rooms, hallway, bar, breakfast room) has an urgent need for renovation as it has probably not changed since 30 years (see pictures). If you travel with children, there is an additional charge of 39Euro per child, even for a 1 year old.
The hotel seems to be a converted appartment building in a quite residence area. No restaurants or shops around. The city center can be reached in 10-15 minutes by foot.
On the positive side, the hosts and the service is very friendly. Also the size and quality of the breakfast buffet is very good. The garden with pool and whirlpool is also very nice.
