Stay at the is hotel for 7 nights in the summer. Overall had a great time.
Room: spacious, nice bathroom, balcony with a view of the thermal spa park. Could do with some extra furniture in the room.
Spa: great facility, can be busy at certain hours of the day. I had some treatments that was very swish and professional.
Location: excellent, right in the centre of the town.
Food: breakfast was very good. Did not have half board may try it next visit.
Looking forward to returning in the winter time.

We visited Merano to enjoy the Terme Merano and go to the Christmas market. Our room was gorgeous, very clean and plenty of space for our family of five. The underground "bathrobe" tunnel to the terme is very convenient and the breakfast was absolutely superb! Because we were traveling with children under 14, we were unable to take advantage of the pools and services on the top floor.

Wonderful holiday in Merano. This hotel has a great location, walking distance to just about everything. We loved the convenience of walking directly into the Terme and while the hotel has an absolutely gorgeous rooftop spa, we still preferred using the public terms. The rooftop spa while beautiful is very small and was always very crowded.

The rooms are nice, the food is exceptionally good and the service is excellent. We will definitely return!

Room Tip: We had a room facing the back of the property and it was very quiet.

Hotel Terme is superbly located by the Passer river with a fantastic view to the mountains and right in the middle of the town!
The spa in the top floor is first class: indoor and door pool - salty warm water and several saunas all with a superb view to the mountains. The relax room is as relaxing as it could be.
Also, guests have a free pass to the Therme (several swimming pools and a nice park to be enjoyed by the old and the young!)
The hotel bar is beautiful although the service needs improvement- the staff is nice and caring but it closes at 24:00 and it does not serve any kind of food- not even a sandwich!).
Breakfast is very varied, served in a nice restaurant, full of light).
Our room was spacious, super clean with a nice balcony. We missed a rain shower though!
We enjoyed our stay very much and will come back!

Hi Miriam,
thank you for your nice reply!

Regarding the hotel bar I Would like to say that our hotel bar Palm Loung opens at 5 PM and closes at 24.00 but only when our guests went to sleep. As many hotel bars we have "open end" but on the other side the responsibility that over the bar there are rooms and guests who sleep.
We have some appetizers on the bar but no sandwich. For the food we have our two restaurants: Restaurant Olivi and our Bistro La Piazza... in my opinion this is enough.
Many greetings from Merano

This is a nice hotel with great amenities and spa. However, there is a serious noise situation in some rooms.

We stayed on a Friday and Saturday. Our room was on the first floor which was one level above the ground floor where the bar was located. However, the ceiling of the bar extends above the ground floor and the hallway to many of the rooms on the first floor is open to the area above the bar. The result is that any noise is the bar is transmitted to the first floor hallway and to rooms on the first floor.

On Friday night there was a loud party going on in the bar which went until at least 1:00 AM. On Saturday, there was a pound band playing in the bar until about 11:00 PM. The noise from both events made it difficult to sleep.

This was one of the noisiest hotel situations we have experienced.

Dear Robert,
Thank you for staying with us and thank you for your nice words with regards to our amenities and spa.
In regards to the noise level I would like to point out, that our hotel is located in the citycenter of Merano and the noise level here certainly is always a bit higher than at a resort hotel in the middle of nowhere. Most of our guests enjoy the fact, that they can both relax at a spa but also have the advantages of living in the middle of a city.

I am sorry that you did not sleep well- the room you where located in is as you describe located above our Palm Lounge and we did in fact have a concert there on Saturday (once a week we host a local live band in our Palm Lounge, it is mostly jazz and other small formations), but as you said they only play until 11 pm, which on the weekend is a reasonable hour in our opinion. Nevertheless I would like to apologize for your inconvenience. I also would like to apologize that some guests where noisy until after midnight, it would have been the responsibility of our bar team to kindly ask our guests to quiet down. Please do inform us of your room preference next time you book with us and we will allocate a room in a different location for you.

We hope to welcome you at our property soon again.

Best Regards from Merano,

Veronika Puff
Deputy General Manager
