Description: In our restaurant you will be sure to find the pleasures of good, healthy and typical Venetian food at its best. Our long-standing culinary tradition, the great experience of our chefs and the high quality of the products used are the cornerstones that have long made us one of the best restaurants in town, popular for business lunches, for friendly and informal evenings with friends or for celebrating the most important occasions with loved ones. An example of our dishes? Paduan pasta and beans, "bigoli" with three sauces, mushroom soup, trolley of boiled and roast meats, Venetian cod and tripe alla parmigiana. A select wine list and friendly and attentive service combined with an elegant (but informal) setting that turns into a charming garden in summer help make the most of your encounter with taste. The restaurant is not for the exclusive use of the hotel, so we recommend that you make a reservation.

if you want local, traditional food from the Padua region, this restaurant offers you superb choice, quality and service. Whether you go for the baccala' local style, or the mushrooms, or the truffles, or any risotto, or any meat, or even something as simple as a tray of boiled meats...you can't get it wrong, everything will be delicious. A great selection of wines will help you to enjoy your food at its best. Will definitely go back, and it seems to me that the Autumn is the best season for it.

We had a large family birthday celebration at this stylish restaurant and every course was superb. The antipasti and aperitifs were served outside with a variety of canapes based on meat, fish and vegetable recipes. The chilled soup and risotto were exquisitely subtle and the wine, a cool Raboso, luscious red and petillant accompanied it all perfectly. The dessert was also outstanding. The service was impeccable and very welcoming. We could all easily return to this year after year! Off the beaten track but worth seeking out if you are touring with a car, or just as easily accessed on the No.10 bus route towards Torre from Padova, about 4 stops from the end of the line.

We ate at Il Dotto one night during a 3 day stay in Padova. The restaurant is only 25m. from the door of the Sagittario hotel & allows meals to be charged to the hotel room. If you're staying at the Sagittario, nothing could be easier. The stroll over takes all of 30-40 seconds, (I doubt you would even need an umbrella in rainy weather). It is a lovely older restaurant, with a pretty garden & grounds, for outdoor dining in better weather. The ambiance is just a bit formal, no bar, so no spritz before dinner, but a glass of Prosecco served just as well. I had a full cutlet of veal (not an escalope) , with polenta & rosti potatoes, my wife tried the roast pork, also w. polenta & rabe. Both were excellent. We finished with coffee & a panecotta w. caramel, delicious! The service was first rate, but with the usual euro problem of getting the bill at the end. (We always have the urge to get up & move on long before the waiter wants to present us our tab). The bill came to 64 eu. which I thought was very reasonable for the meal we had. All in all, it was a very nice experience at a modest price & totally convenient in terms of location & the ability to charge to the room. The hotel (Sagittarius) & il Dotto will both be at the top of the list, when I return to Padova

I have been several times to this place and every time the quality of the food and the service is simply wonderful! The gnocchi with 3 different sauces is an absolute must! Today we also ate a fondue with white truffles as a starter, it was to die for! I highly recommend this place. The food is amazing!!!

Despite previous comments on Trip Advisor, we English were served promptly and the waiters were efficient if ever-so-slightly condescending. A clean and shiny restaurant, apparently family run for over 150 years, it does have an old-fashioned feel to it. We ate pumpkin flowers stuffed with smoked salmon and ravioli stuffed with tomato and aubergine, with cheese on top. There were only two pumpkin flowers and only three ravioli (but I found three enough for me). The bowl of salad was huge, the tiramisu too chocolate-y, coffee was served with a dish of mixed biscotti. We enjoyed the meal but felt it was a little over-priced; the wine was definitely over-priced. I would recommend a short walk into Padua where the choice of restaurants, cafes and bars is very wide and therefore they are all aware of the competition unlike this one.
