Owner description: Accessible Opera, as though it was in your sitting room, but its a palace in Venice. Stunningly personal. Fun fun fun with 3 light and easy Operas to choose, 7 nights a week. It will make so many people's trip to Venice even more memorable.

With a college degree in music performance, having trained at both the Cleveland Institute of Music and The University of Michigan - I can tell you without reservation that the quality of the performance we saw on 12/15/17 was nothing short of world class.

The highlights for us:
1. The venue: held in a former palace steeped in history, they do a great job of utilizing the amazing space as staging. Very cool.

2. The sparkling wine at intermission included in the price of the ticket - a very nice touch.

3. The price, while somewhat expensive - is nothing compared to what you would pay at one of the opera houses throughout Europe for a decent seat.

4. The libretto provided a great history of the venue and wonderful translation of the source material. Buy one.

5. Performances were outstanding - the aria by the Soprano by candlelight was incredible.

The conclusion of the opera was met by a standing ovation from the entire audience.

Attending the Opera at the Musica A Palazzo is an experience like no other. Staged in the palace, this intimate production moves between rooms to tell the story. No matter where you sit in this small venue, you have a front row seat to spectacular voices. We choose to see the Barber of Seville. Upon arrival, they do sell a playbill size libretto which makes a nice souvenir. You can also do a quick read through prior to the start if you are unfamiliar with the story. We did walk over early to make sure we didn't get lost (Venice is easily walkable but a bit confusing). We then grabbed a drink at Tarnowska's American Bar while we waited for the doors to open. It is just around the corner. Be sure to visit the Palazzo website and make your reservations ahead of your trip!

The palazzo is a little bit difficult to find at the end of a very narrow alley. Once you find the right door, you enter into a small scale opera heaven. One performance can accommodate about 80 people, which gives a very unique and intimate watching experience. As the opera goes on, the audience moves with the singers and musicians from one room to another. We enjoyed the performance of La Traviata a lot - Interesting and fun to watch and listen. Highly recommended.

Venice is also famous for live music performance and this best place to listen to best talent in Venice. Performers are great and have your tickets booked in advance.

This is a must-see. I'm English, so I didn't understand everything in its entirety, but this was still a highlight of our trip. A unique setup. You see opera in 3 different rooms. The performance goes for a little over 2 hours. My husband isn't much into Opera, but he had a really nice time. The rooms are incredibly old and beautiful it really ads to the show. The singers and musicians were all fantastic. I wouldn't hesitate to take friends to this in the future. Definitely go if you get the opportunity! You will be very happy you did!
