I went to the Restaruant - Food was so underwhelming - staff where running around flapping about and didn't know what sparking water or still water was. Setting was stunning that's why they get two stars. But that is it really - most expensive meal we had in Venice and we are at good restaurants - but I really disliked it.

Dear Guest,

i have carefully read your comments regarding our Restaurant and I will investigate about the food which is,always, fresh and according the culinary venetian Kitchen. About the prices you can easily compare them with the rates applied in the similar Restaurants of the San Marco area with such view. such service and food: You will realize that our Restaurant is the less expensive!!

Ate at the terrace restaurant only. Elegant service and decent food in this somewhat pricey but spectacularly located eatery. The view of the grand canal at its widest was lovely at sunset.
Available also for afternoon Bellinis.

We spent 2 very lovely nights at the hotel. It was arranged by our travel agent and we were not sure what we would find when we arrived. We requested a room that faced the Grand Canal. We were given a room with 2 twin beds with a small sitting area. It was on the 3rd floor and did indeed face the Canal. The beds were comfortable and the room was really pretty spacious. It is definitely an older building and our ceiling was vaulted with ancient wood beams and a tile ceiling. The bathroom was very nice with a full tub and shower, two sinks, a toilet and bidet. There were higher end toiletries provided, including toothbrushes and combs. There is a gondolier stand outside the hotel, and well as the vaporetto station. The restaurant on the main floor was exceptional. We ate each meal there on the veranda next to the canal. We had a wonderful meal the night we arrived. We also had the breakfast buffet each morning. Scrambled eggs, bacon, prosciutto and other hams, fresh fruit and juice, bread, yoghurt, fresh juice, and my favorite, roasted Roma tomatoes. The breakfast is not included in the room charge. The staff is friendly and very helpful. There is a full bar, which is a little pricey. Rooms come with a mini bar and TV, hairdryer, closet and mini safe. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Venice. It is a block or 2 to St Marks Square and to some very nice shops.

This is at a very convenient location and the rooms are nice but the front desk staff is very unfriendly and rude.
The reception staff could not even be bothered to look up when we were standing in front of them to ask a question.
They never greeted anyone either.
It took them a while to get us registered and they kept our passports for a good 1-2 hrs. When we went back down to the lobby to ask for the passports back, they were annoyed at us.
They don't have name tags, so can't even comment on who they are.
Very expensive place, good location, but miserable reception staff.
