“One of the best small hotels we have stayed!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 April 2012

We spent a long weekend in the beginning of February at Le Isole. This is certainly one of the best boutique hotels we have ever stayed. The location is perfect - very central, 5 min walk to San Marco, yet in a quiet location. I was slightly apprehensive as we had reserved the "economy double room", yet it turned out to be perfect: good proportions, enough storage space, comfortable bed, high-quality bed linen, modern shower room, everything immaculately clean and beautifully presented. We loved the combination of original building features, antique furniture pieces and modern, tranquil design. We appreciated having very little surcharge for the minibar items as well. The hotel staff were wonderful: helpful and very accommodating. Breakfast was delicious, with great choice of fruit, pastries, breads, hams and cheeses. Made-on-request expressos/capuccions/lattes.They even offer cooked breakfast at no extra charge. Overall, this hotel offers exceptional value, esp. for Venice. Both my husband and I were delighted to stay here and when we travel to Venice again, we'll make sure to stay at Le Isole.

We stayed here in early March to celebrate my 50th birthday. The hotel staff was incredible, starting with our early morning arrival from NY to a wonderful breakfast with bellinis and flowers in our room. The location was wonderful, and the deluxe room was beautiful. The only disappointment was the noise in the room. For such a lovely hotel we were surprised by this. (We usually stay at the Ritz Carlton hotel group so we are used to silent rooms.) it was magical. Just wish it was a bit warmer to sit outside on the beautiful patio. They should get Warner's outside! Overall excellent!

Room Tip: As for a room that does not overlook the quaint but loud side street where the school children will...

I chose the hotel based on the reviews here and I was very glad I did! Finding the hotel is very easy from San Zecceria ferry stop. Located right on the canal, there are little bridges and gondolas all around the hotel. Only 5 minute walk to San Marco Square and lots of cafe's and shops right outside the hotel. We booked a standard double room and it was perfect. The size wasn't huge, however it wasn't small either. We had a window opening to the canal and a little bridge below which was romantic. Service was great.

We booked this hotel based on the excellent reviews and we can honestly say it turned out to be every bit as good, if not better than we imagined. My first contact with the hotel was when I emailed them a week before our trip. As I was planning on proposing to my now fiancée whilst we were in Venice I wanted it to be a very special occasion so asked the hotel if there was anything they could do to make our stay special. They replied very promptly and said they would put some flowers and a bottle of Prosecco in our room asking when I would Like this to be done, to which I replied it would be great if they could have everything in place when we returned from our meal on the first night. They lived up to their word and without any reminder from me, we returned from our first meal in Venice and a successful proposal to find a lovely bunch of flowers and Prosecco in an ice bucket.

Throughout our stay the staff were brilliant, very friendly, polite and informative. Nothing was too much trouble for them. They really did make our stay brilliant. The hotel itself was very nice with the rooms recently refurbished and absolutely spotless, as was the whole hotel. The room was spacious and modern with everything you could need. The breakfast was good, with a nice range of choices and I would recommend eating in the courtyard which is a lovely place to sit of a morning or evening.

The location of the hotel was also great with a two minute walk to the beautiful Piazza San Marco and only about a 10 minute walk to the Rialto, if you don't get lost down the many canal streets but that is half the fun. I can't say enough about how good the hotel is and in particular the staff. I would recommend anyone travelling to Venice to stay at Hotel Le Isole, you won't be disappointed.

Hotel Le Isole is a charming 3-star property conveniently located near the centre of Venice. Local tourist attractions such as Giardini Pubblici, Parco delle Rimembranze and Lido Beach are not far from the hotel. Also easily within reach are Church of the Most Holy Redeemer (Chiesa del Santissimo Redentore), San Nicolò al Lido and La Giudecca.

Room Tip: Deluxe Double Room 207

This hotel is beautiful and the service was impeccable. Our room had tall, vaulted ceilings and gorgeous antique furniture. It was very clean and well-maintained. Morning complimentary hot/cold breakfasts were excellent, and we particularly enjoyed the cappuccino out on the private terrace. Staff went above and beyond to assure an enjoyable stay.

Only two minor drawbacks, neither negatively impacting our stay. The location is a bit difficult to find, and we were lucky to find a local to lead the way. Also, we weren't able to get the air conditioning system to function properly, so opened windows instead.

Getting to the hotel from the vaporettos: Take the #1 bus and get off on the 2nd (last) S. Marco stop. Take a left and then go over the bridge. Take a right in the alley Calle del Vin, which is right before a money exchange store and after a restaurant. It jaunts to the left than follow that to the canal, turn right and follow the canal. The hotel will be on the right, and can be identified by the name on the hotel rug just inside the doorway, not a sign outside the building.

Wonderful hotel overall, highly recommended and we would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: We had a view of the dining terrace below, so we rather enjoyed waking to the smell of fresh baked c...

I chose this hotel based on the reviews that others had left (and the fact that there were no negative reivews). I booked a weekend away for my husband's birthday and this hotel was perfect. It is located near to San Marco so you get all the hustle and bustle if you like or you turn in a different direction and go into quieter streets. Our room was lovely and quiet and the breakfast was excellent. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone, it was great. My only quibble were that the pilows were really hard but I asked for a softer one and it arrived soon after!
