Food ok, prices good and service ok. Slightly cramped but this is Venice!

Has good toilets so a coffee here will save you the €1.50 public toilet fee!

We ended up walking out as the waiter was so rude and clearly cared very little about retaining our custom...and that was with someone who can speak Italian. Goodness knows how he deals with tourists who can't.

Service was mixed. One waiter was friendly to us tourist, while the other couldn't be bothered to look at me in the eye. We only had coffee, which was however done quite well. Price was €4 a cup. Overall, the location is good for an afternoon tea as you wander thru Venice's maze of streets. A few good retail shops around to occupy your partner too while you enjoy the break.

We usually have a short list of places to eat for lunch on a day trip - gleaned from Tripadvisor. And we normally follow our own advice. We made the mistake of winging it in Venice.

The Bar Torino delivers cafeteria style food in mediocre cafeteria style. We were in a group of five and ordered pasta dishes. They had obviously been warmed up, While some dishes were very dry, mine seems to have missed out on the treatment altogether and sections of my dish ranged from lukewarm to cold. The waiter seemed intent on moving us through as quickly as possible and tended to forget things. Staff seemed to develop blind spots when we wanted service.
For those who don't like wildlife in a restaurant, the pigeons that wander about may be a disincentive.

nice place but the tables are too close to each other. Good sandwiches.
