The Liassidi is ideally situated without being in the midst of the high season throngs. Room very comfortable, clean and updated. Staff extremely helpful. We enjoyed the breakfasts. In short all we would have expected from the hotel which came highly recommended from our travel agent.

ok. in general the location was very good- central to most interesting aspects of venice. we enjoyed wandering between bastillo and arsenale. Restaurants nearby did not have good reviews but we found alternatives. We loved Venice! Fascinating place and not as busy as expected. Also witnessed a stupendous storm !
We actually in all honesty did not experience the hotel as we were based in the annexe- not attached to hotel over canal and down a dark alleyway(above the hardware shop) No staff in attendance. No help with bags despite arriving at 11.30pm. no offers of drinks at bar. Just greeted with ‘breakfast is NOT included- you need to pay 20 euros each’ and sent on our way.
Had we experienced the actual hotel in any way this review would be more useful and positive. however, this reflects our experience at the hotel.

We stayed in a Double Room With Canal View (seperate from main building). It was very quiet and comfortable and featured a great bathroom. The bed was super comfortable and the wifi strong. However, the curtains are of the elegant mesh variety and the sun rises in the bedroom windows. We always travel with eye masks, so it wasn’t an issue. If it was, asking reception for help was not something we were comfortable doing.

Upon our arrival my wife offered a greeting in nervous Italian. The receptionist looked unamused and unimpressed and feigned incomprehension for the rest of our stay. Other than a charming porter, the reception staff were uniformly ‘important’ and disinterested. Had we been guests in a more expensive room, perhaps they would’ve been a little friendlier? Maybe they were having a bad couple of days or didn’t like the look of us. Regardless, we were paying them to stay here. Not the other way around. Sort it out.

Despite the breakfast being basic, the staff working in the breakfast room were lovely and helpful. Especially one young man who was there both mornings we ate.

The hotel is in a great location and don’t be put off by the time it takes to travel to the San Zaccaria stop on the Alilaguna Blue Line from the airport. It’s only a 5 minute walk to the hotel from there and the hour and a half cruise is spectacular.

My family of four stayed in an exclusive suite with canal view for four people. It consisted of two very big bedrooms with one bathroom to share. The decor was very dated and the beds and pillows were terribly uncomfortable, however the view of the canal was lovely.

The location is excellent, close to all attractions and many restaurants and shops. We arrived and departed by private water taxi which was very convenient with the hotel having a private pier.

Unfortunately I have to disagree with the reviews stating the breakfast is lovely. We found it almost inedible and were terribly disappointed. The quality and range is not good and definitely not very fresh.

Not a bad option for Venice but I wonder if there might be something better.

We recently spent 3 nights at this hotel and were happy with everything. It is close to the main sights of Venice and has some nice restaurants very close by. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The rooms were very good value. We travelled by water bus from the airport to "San Zaccaria" and walked to the hotel. We walked to all of the main sights "Saint Mark's square", Bridge of Sighs and Rialto Bridge. We also caught the hop on / hop off boat to Lido, Murano etc.

The Liassidi Palace hotel is very well located in terms of its closeness to Saint Mark’s square and the beauty of the surrounding area. If you’re carrying big luggage, it’s not the easiest hotel to get to by water bus, but it is perfect by water taxi as it has its own little pier. As soon as you walk into the hotel, there’s a beautiful lounge to relax and have drinks. The people at the front desk are very nice and helpful. The rooms are spacious, clean, and quite nice. I definitely recommend staying at the Liassidi Palace!
